Before selling, for what seems a good price, why not try moving the bars above the yoke to see if that helps?

My answer is always zero the trip when filling to top and aim to fill up at 130 miles.
Would be nice to be able to fit a fuel tank sender (and fuel gauge somehow) from a gs or rt etc..

... stainless disc bolts from the internet ... I would steer clear of these (unless absolutely sure).. the previous owner had put some in and while they looked alright it was PITA getting them out.. like cheese and even with heat just stripped... I got a Dremel onto them to square the heads off the...
