I'll probably leave it till the winter now. The mot's due in June, but I can't recall him ever checking the lighting in the clocks.

Bcr rev counter bulbs.

Only the bottom part of my rev counter lights up, so I'm presuming two bulbs and the top one has expired. Has anyone had to change one and how easy/hard is it to do?

I time the oil & filter change with my Bcr's mot. So take it for the mot with the belly pan removed. Kills 2 birds with 1 oil change!
If you leave the bracket for the belly pan on, watch out the mot tester doesn't place the jack under it.....
