Rate your garage (the ultimate competition).

I have a great (??) idea (?): rate you garage (past and/or present) using as few words as possible. Mix facts, figures, hype, acid humor, frustration, rage, expectations, sarcasm, cynicism … stir … serve … cheers. We can make a competition out of this. The winner takes it all: the girl, the money an...

Anyway...know your enemy:

Notice the attempt for stiffer cases (due to the lack of a 3rd journal).

Notice the "startup low compression" cam lobe design (see Panigale).

Well...new dogs old dogs what about dinosaurs ? Here's food for thought (plan B/C, that is): KTM : Bajaj Auto holds 47% (and rising). Future (if at all) is full of curry powder. Is this what we call a spicy bike? Ducati: Audi got that thing. Zillions around. Expect wonders pretty soon. Nuclear pizza...

I thought idle voltage was around 14v? Al On second thoughts - what do you mean by "idle"? Engine at "idle" ? or Battery at "rest" ? Indeed a bad choice of words: I mean battery at "rest" . But since Chris reports a 13.5 figure ... my PC535 is ready for a req...

I have not been able to find out for sure but I think the eccentric is in the splitter box. So modifications at the throttle may shorten the travel but you will still have the non linear throttle Splitter has nothing to do: the (ugly and pointless) eccentric is in the TB's "pulley" thing ...

Re: Wunderlich Lifter - I Wunder......

Plus I have now have a centre stand in the pipeline. I wunder(!) if that genius R12 lifter could fit to your R11 - a lifter and a (garage) centerstand fused into one. Eats Abba (the stand not the band) for breakfast. http://www.becker-technik.de/BMW_R1200S-Lifter/BMW_R1200S-Lifterenglisch/body_bmw_...

Also make sure the terminals is tight on the battery poles, depending on the age measure the current of the battery with a load tester, or If the battery reads less than 12.5V on multimeter it is kaput. Additionally if voltage at cranking time is less than ~10.2 V ... the battery is rather kaput. P...

PC535 Lifespan

Well friends, I've got an Odyssey PC535 4 years ago. Bike used daily most of times - if not a CTEK 3600 "smart" charger used. Bike garaged (but not heated). Average night winter temperature around 3-5 degrees (metric). Alternator OK (charges at ~ 14.2 V). No alarm etc etc - only drain is d...

The engineer said that one of the throttle cables wasn't seated properly as it was the throttles were balanced but with it fitted properly they were out. Good news ... although I barely can imagine how a cable issue (say in the splitter or elsewhere) could being affected by engine temperature. I me...

3 cheers for 'Outsourcing' there then eh? Hmm... 1. I have no sympathy for K1300 engines/bikes (these things are not sport bikes... thus why bother talking?, he he) 2. K1600: better design a robot whale than these. Luddites all over the world (re)unite. See 3 as well. 3. Veyron : this is THE art of...
