Re: Pleasant Surprises on my recent R1100S purchase

my garage arrangement means my BCR is at the back of the garage and entails moving the RT and the K1 out of the way to get it out. However, every time I do it reminds me how awesome fun the 11s's are. Sure it may only be 98 hp but its handling and delivery just make it fun. In real terms circa 100 h...

Re: Xmas morning ride....

I done a similar thing many years ago on my old R65 - forgot about that until I saw your post. Unfortunately this Crimbo couldn't do it if I wanted as I'm recovering from a dislocated shoulder. On the plus side I've had Christmas off but I don't get paid   Ouch, so who've you been fightin...

Re: Xmas morning ride....

We've got both daughters staying, so getting out for a ride was out of the question :) Cheers Ian I can highly recommend it if you can get out Ian as being zero traffic was awesome! Merry Christmas back …. now sat here with a gin...

Xmas morning ride....

… with nothing else to occupy my time I decided to go to an old dive spot (they recently dismantled the pier so I wanted to see the result). It's Trefor Pier just south of Caernarfon. Went from Wrexham>Bala>Trawsfynydd>Pwllheli>Trefor>Caernarfon>A55 and back to Wrexham, just shy of 200 miles. Left a...

Re: PCP / aftermarket parts

Not really Chris, many customers add upgrades/bling to their bikes and either transfer it to the new bike (many GS owners for example have another GS as there's little competition). We often have to include transferring bits over as part of the deal. Other times people either leave the bits on or t...

Re: That's how it's done

I'd have to agree, the whole point is that they want every bike to be the same, no room for individuals on a production line! You have to wonder when they say they use people for the jobs that the robots can't do. That's good I suppose, but as the robots get cheaper and more versatile it can't be a...

Re: PCP / aftermarket parts

With the increasing popularity of pcp bikes how much of an effect will this have on aftermarket parts sales? I sense from the mags I manage to get a look at that there seems to be an increase in advertising. I would have thought it a pointless exercise modding a bike that you may only be renting. c...

The rider seems a big lad so I'm guessing he found it a bit cramped, also it may be better for the track having more weight over the front :)
