Re: Richard Joyce

Many thanks all - am getting there slowly, tired a lot of the time but start cardiac rehab in a couple of weeks which'll give me goals to achieve. Whilst I wouldn't be so dramatic as saying I was at 'death's door' it really has made me realise what's important in this life. It was that mindset that...

Re: Back End Buchhie (Moffat)

I have 6 days annual leave left and I'd mentioned I was going to take it in October, my colleague said she was taking time off too for a wedding. I have a feeling she said the 19th (grrrrr) …… if it isn't I may well attend Chris. Otherwise my trip to Moffat will be another weekend in October. At the...

Re: Bonding with the K1

Another qwerky bmw collectable. For authenticity, the qwerkiest of all bmw`s arguably is THE "Bond" one with the Boxer engine. Both bikes a sound investment. Well done you. It looks in very good fettle too. Hardly a sports tourer though, Those panniers. WTF? Enjoy. Chris I'm loving it Chr...

Re: Too quiet!

Having recently taken ownership of a low mileage 2001 r1100s and driven a couple of hundred miles, I have to say am so far over the moon. However one annoying thing is the almost sewing machine quietness from the twin pipes. I thought remus did a system for this bike but can find nothing online (pr...

Bonding with the K1

Been using the K1 quite a bit recently …. and I love it. Despite its 30 years of age I find it surprisingly modern riding, comfy, good brakes, good handling with a surprising turn of speed. I find the 16 v engine needs more revs than the old 8 valve motor to get it in the flow but once she does it's...
