Re: R9T Racer

The OE riding position has to be one of the lest comfortable ever made ( and the R1200S was a contender). That looks a high quality conversion, presumably longer cables to match

Re: Anyone been for a ride yet?

Rules now allow travelling for exercise in England - so

3 bike trip out yesterday with wife and son ( all same household). Lovely weather and moderately quiet roads.
Stopped for an exercise walk and picnic - really nice to get back on the bike

Re: Turbo R1200s

I was trawling the German ebay site and came across this. If you need more power and have 13,500 Euros going spare this may be for you. https://www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de/s-anzeige/r1200s-turbo/1401102193-305-764 The link is to a turboed 1200s, which according to the attached dyno charts is making 1...

Re: Norton no more / update superbike part 2

"Norton Motorcycles has been sold to Indian motorcycle giant TVS Motor Company in a £16million cash deal that will see manufacturing remain in the UK, while those who paid deposits will finally receive their bikes. Under the agreement, a subsidiary TVS Motor Company has acquired Norton, as well...

Re: Norton no more / update superbike part 2

And hopefully a better quality product with TVS production processes. Seems like they're making all the right noises about UK production, high quality low volume bikes . This might just turn out well and then Hicky will win 2021 lightweight on the Superlight, and then the V4 will be properly develop...

Re: Norton no more / update superbike part 2

Also, as Garner sold the 961 engine rights just before the company crashed it appears that TVS do not have ownership of that engine or manufacturing rights anymore

Re: Norton no more / update superbike part 2

Note.. it appears that the pension fund members and hopeful owners with deposits paid have no protection under this deal.
