Re: ACF50

I've used ACF-50 for years, at the moment I've got a non-aerosol trigger spray bottle with a larger refill (can't remember where I get it from). It's a good penetrating fluid too, but I generally use it as a rust-preventative for winter commuting: Spray on when the weather deteriorates and leave un...

Re: ACF50

I have used ACF 50 over the years , and also FS 365 from scottoil. I've only ever used aerosols of ACF 50 and no more than 2 per year with more than one bike . I see it advertised in what looks like a Litre with a trigger spray which might be the way to go. This what I've ordered. It seems better b...

Re: ACF50

If you are spraying on (with a compressor and spray gun) then the smallest quantity you can buy, it goes a long way. This is by far the best way. If you are using an aerosol can then put the whole can in warm water first to both thin the ACF50 fluid and also pressurise the can a little. Not sure on...

ACF50

Never used this product before but heard some good things about it.

Living less than a 100m from the sea is starting to take it's toll on the old girls!

Can anyone give a guestimate of how much I'd need to order for 2 Honda VFR's that have never been treated before please?

Cheers

Bailey.

Re: Hello (again) from darkest Lincs

Ok guess I better say hello if all the auld buggers who rarely log on are here ..... I've been a resident of Aberdeenshire for 18 months! Still got my manky old VFR's which I regularly give a thorough thrashing on the way to work. No traffic lights, cars, or speed cameras for miles around. Plenty tr...

City of London Police

FYI: For anyone who frequents the City of London square mile .... today I saw a brand new unmarked grey R1200RS being used by City Of London Police in the London Wall area for speed violation patrol. Bike is fitted with skinny city side cases. The square mile has a (STRICT) blanket 20mph enforcement...

I have worn these hi-Viz tops for the past 6 years whilst riding my work bike. http://www.beeswift.co.uk/web/uk/WebItem.html?Item=CFRPKJ&ItemNo=CFRPKJORS As I work in the construction industry, wearing Hi-Viz is a must as I'm on and off building sites all day. I have chosen this particular hi-vi...

Re: Refurb or replace?

Has anyone had their stock BMW-issue (Showa?) shocks refurbed? If so, were the results what you were hoping for? My ST's now on 25k miles, 20k of them with my lardy arse astride it, so I'm feeling a suspension refurb is due. I can spend around a grand going the Wilbers/Nitron etc route, or there's ...
