Re: European Breakdown

I don’t want to be carrying spares and tools though Gerry, I will be loaded up with camping paraphernalia. Plenty enough of BMW bike shops around to wield the spammers for me! I’m just looking for an easy stress free way of getting the bike there should the worst happen. I only intend to ride betwee...

European Breakdown

My AA European breakdown cover has increased by almost a third from £141 to £187. No explanation for the increase either which is annoying. I spent a while loooking for alternative quotes but drew a blank. My 19 year old bike is deemed too much of a risk for any other company that I could find. New ...

Re: Risers?

There are also ‘comfort handlebars’ which are angled up. Still available but over £300, ouch! I got a set from eBay for a lot less. About to fit them so I can’t comment further.
Each and every little bit helps, but I think Al has the answer as he said above. I just can’t bring myself to buy one.

Re: Tail tidy - ridiculously small plate

For Chris, if you need advice on fighting that ticket from B and Q have a look at the pepipoo site. Lots of help on there. I think it would be in your favour to deal with it before any court action. Good luck!

The power of the K is intoxicating for sure.
I miss it but I just don’t have the will power not to use it for giggles, so for gods sake don’t ever sell me one!

Re: do not want to piss on anyone`s parade, ..but..

Drifting away slightly ... it is similar to recorded music. Apple Music, Spotify etc. means that you no longer buy cd’s as you can listen to the music you like from your phone. A tenner a month for anything you enjoy or ££ for each cd. Showing my age but I like to read the lyrics and information pro...

Boxer Cup Boots size 43 for sale

Yep, from back in the day, I bought them in about 1999/2000. Mostly blue in colour to match the Boxer Cup bike’s from the racing series. I think? I only wore them a few times on the bike because they are quite a narrow fit and my feet are too broad to be comfortable for more than an hour or so. So t...

Re: R12S THROTTLE ECCENTRIC REMOVAL

Yep, that looks like the part. I don’t recognise the seller as I bought mine from Gus and only ever saw them advertised on German eBay at the time. It’s not a perfect solution by any means. Iirc Gus was looking for a better answer at the cams on the throttle bodies for a modification to his racing b...

Re: South West Exmoor ride out: ROUTE is now live to upload

Guys, I’m whimping our sorry to say. I wouldn’t get any enjoyment from riding in the forecast conditions so it would just frustrate me being sat around doing nothing.
I have sent you an email Phil. Thank you for organising the meet.
Safe weekend to all.

Re: R12S THROTTLE ECCENTRIC REMOVAL

Dave, I fitted the throttle gubins when I had my 1200S. Well worthwhile imo. It made a significant difference and until I got used to it I had to remind myself that it was fitted, otherwise it would catch me out as it would leap forward like a scolded cat. In the wet I realised why BMW designed it a...
