Boxer Cup Boots size 43 for sale

Yep, from back in the day, I bought them in about 1999/2000. Mostly blue in colour to match the Boxer Cup bike’s from the racing series. I think? I only wore them a few times on the bike because they are quite a narrow fit and my feet are too broad to be comfortable for more than an hour or so. So t...

Re: R12S THROTTLE ECCENTRIC REMOVAL

Yep, that looks like the part. I don’t recognise the seller as I bought mine from Gus and only ever saw them advertised on German eBay at the time. It’s not a perfect solution by any means. Iirc Gus was looking for a better answer at the cams on the throttle bodies for a modification to his racing b...

Re: South West Exmoor ride out: ROUTE is now live to upload

Guys, I’m whimping our sorry to say. I wouldn’t get any enjoyment from riding in the forecast conditions so it would just frustrate me being sat around doing nothing.
I have sent you an email Phil. Thank you for organising the meet.
Safe weekend to all.

Re: R12S THROTTLE ECCENTRIC REMOVAL

Dave, I fitted the throttle gubins when I had my 1200S. Well worthwhile imo. It made a significant difference and until I got used to it I had to remind myself that it was fitted, otherwise it would catch me out as it would leap forward like a scolded cat. In the wet I realised why BMW designed it a...

Re: South West ride out: ROUTE

If you can ever believe the weather forecast, high pressure should be around by the weekend for a dry rideout.

Re: BMW Test Ride Event at the Ponderosa 15th/16th September

Thanks for the heads up Steve. It’s in my diary now and if the weather is good then I could well be there. I’m after a new bike come next year, although I’m thinking more RT than 9T.

Good choice! Although I expect it will take a few rides to get back into the bike after 5 years away from the S. I hope you enjoy it.

Agreed! Never seen a single on the 1100S before and it makes it very individual.
I’m going the other way numerically and fitting a triple that has been sat in the box for over a year now.

Re: South West Exmoor ride out: IS NOW LIVE

Room for one more Popsky?
I’m booked in and looking forward to meeting everyone and enjoying the ride out.
I expect to arrive mid afternoon on the Friday and will hit the beach for an ice cream prior to beer o’clock.

I wasn’t expecting that Chris. It is very sad to read and I’m sure that everybody’s heart goes out to the families.

Re: R1100s top end rattle

That’s a result eh? I was worried for you because you said you paid only £1k for it, which is an excellent buy. But I thought there might be a reason it so cheap when you mentioned the small end. Perhaps the previous owner was worried the engine would fail before long and just got rid. Glad it’s wor...

Re: Vintage bikes.

There is a guy on PistonHeads that has just splashed a load of money for a 1939 Levis 350. It is a thing of beauty having been restored by the museum he bought it from. The only thing I don’t like about it is the new shiny nuts and bolts. I didn’t say anything, not wanting to pee on his strawberries...

Re: Seized motor

I can’t offer any advise on what happened. Only encouragement to keep on with it as it will be worth it in the end. Second hand parts do come up on eBay for these bikes so that may help keep the cost down. It’s a good thing that you sound okay with the spanners. I have never read about carbon deposi...

I take it that’s ongoing Steve and not a short term offer? Hasn’t the USA been 3 years for a while? It does make it a sweeter deal for sure.
