Yep, EBC HH better than standard. Standard S brakes aren't brill though whatever pad you use, especially early ones with small discs. There's a lot of bike to stop :!: Had the standard pads fade quite badly on one occasion, a pant poopin' moment. Never had the EBC pads fade, perhaps I'm not trying h...

Easy to fit if you don't have ABS. The K 12 reg provides a blanket 8% more fuel across the entire rev range. Not necessarily the most accurate way to add fuel but seems to work pretty well.

Re: Service dissatisfaction

Got home, thought I'd have a quick 'well...let's see what they've done' sort of poke around. Engine oil is seriously overfilled; the bike has to be tipped quite a way over to starboard to give clearance at the top of the glass. The oil does appear to be rather mucky still and I've done the total of...

You shouldn't be able to blow the chip up from the code connector unless you've connected it to something else. Try pulling the motronic fuse to reset it. If this fails you could try reseating the chip. If that fails, refit the standard chip to make sure everything else is ok.

The general consensus of opinion is that the rear is a 15kg which most of the lard arses here find too soft. I think a lot of us who have upgraded shocks have ended up with a 16kg. Having compliant suspension is much more to do with the quality of damping, so paying for a top line shock would be wel...

Whether it makes any difference with a standard Boxer engine is debatable. Certainly, the octane rating would make no difference to an engine that doesn't have knock sensors unless you manually advanced the ignition. It's possible that Optimax could create a more consistant burn and hence make the e...

If the level in the sight glass isn't dropping the only thing I can think of is that the master cylinder piston seal may be duff and allowing fluid to leak by back into the reservoir instead of pushing it down the pipes.
