Re: Welsh Weekend 2020

Hello all. That's myself and Gary (Desmolight) booked in - swelling the ranks of the South West Massive
Looking forward to catching up with the usual suspects and hopefully some new folks.

Re: Is this normal ?

Was there not an issue with the 11S, or at least some, whereby the loom from the ignition switch was a bit stretched up front leading to damaged wires and weird and wonderful electrical symptoms? Sure I recall summit along these lines [smilie=thinking about.gif]

Another cracking WW ticked off. Thank you Steve and John for pulling it together, and to Paul for sterling street sweeping duties once again. It's so good to catch up with and ride with great folks from all corners of the UK. Thank you all :thumbright: Mike PS. A special TY to Olwen and her old man,...

Re: Garmin Basecamp

+1 for MRA. Even the free version is good. The only slight let down is the moderate faff of converting 'track' to 'trip' - and that's down to the Garshite. I've found this is the way to get the best out of a Garmin. Trying to plan a route using the device itself is just painful :x

Re: what started at just tyres !!!!

What brand are those head covers, Rich? Mine are very similar but I ended up having to fit the alloy cup washers under them rather than the far better option of on top. This was due to the sound of cracking and splintering carbon fibre as the bolts approached the desired tightening torque (which ain...

Re: Certificate of Conformity Charges

Having done a bit more research into the ULEZ, it seems the number of interest is only that of NOx emissions. Your motorcycle must come in equal to or under 0.15 g/km (as per the Euro 3 standard). My 2006-built R1200S has NOx emissions of 0.09 g/km, according to BMW, so would be fine. Incidentally, ...

I know, I know - rocking horse doo-doo. Worth an ask in case someone has a set they wish to offload, before I sell a kidney for some new ones :?

Re: Certificate of Conformity Charges

WELL. I put a query in to BMW Motorrad the other day and just got an email back saying that they can't supply emissions information for my bike because they didn't do emissions testing on bikes back then. Wasn't expecting that... Hmmm, interesting Pete. I've just had a butcher's at my C of C. My 12...
