How is everyone?

Hi All, Not been on here for ages, just thought I'd check in as see how all the regulars are doing? I learned to drive a few years ago, and got myself a VW van to convert into a caper. Been keeping be busy, and not really in a good way! Still got the old R100S, it started burring oil in the winter s...

Check out 4OD. There's four short films about Guy. Better than speed I think, especially when he explains how his trailer mounted Merlin engine.... er... "took off"... in his boss's workshop! :D

Really enjoyed speed last week, but next weeks looks very good.

You'll get 12months BMW warranty with it, that's £350 worth...

I payed £5999 for mine 3years ago, with 6k on it. That was from a non BMW dealer in Sheffield.

Very nice. 8)

My R100 would have been painted like this (if I hadn't found out it's a very rare special edition).

Love the look of old BMW bikes. If I had £10k + sitting around, I'd happily own an R69.

Problem is, if it appeals to the traditional BMW rider, they'd buy one, and keep it for years and years....

I hadn't considered the pillion seat. Your right, it looks rubbish...

I was just thinking of a nice set of panniers on it.

It's not a bike I'd own (even if I could afford it!), but it's good to see some big strides being made in the performance side of things.

I can’t wait to see some videos of it tearing around a track, preferably with a MotoGP rider on it. :D

That sucks. Glad you know who the guy is though, and it's getting sorted. I had a no fault bump from a guy who was with my insurance company. It got sorted super quick, but my renewal was higher after, even though I claimed from his insurance, not mine. Unfortunatly, now your insurance knows about i...

A good sports tourer? (Sorry, Suzuki content!)

Really like the look of the new 1000F! http://www.visordown.com/motorcycle-news-new-bikes/intermot-2014-suzuki-gsx-s1000-and-gsx-s1000f-unveiled/25636.html I'm sure a lot of riders have wanted manufacturers to make a comfy, usable, good looking and good value bike with a superbike engine! About time...

Me too. I think it's a shame, as it was key part to the BMW character for the last 15 years.

Very, very nice looking bike though. :)

I hope BMW do a better job of putting it together than the RT...

I've watched it a few times, thinking if it was me, would I have reacted sooner once I saw the car move into the filter lane? Would going slower have helped? You can see the car move into the filter lane from a few seconds back, and I'd certinatly have slowed from 60/70 to 50 and kept an eye on that...

Very nasty. :( really feel for the family, but it was good of them to share the video. I hope the driving community as a whole take something from it. What I take from it is this - Your approaching a junction with cars potentially crossing your path from the right - Stay left, slow down, get ready t...

New bike time.... ?

I'm getting an itch for a new bike, but none of the new bikes on offer seem to be attractive to me (for the cost of them!)... so I'm thinking second hand, and a bit older, and there's some good-uns about.. A Nice R1200S in the for sale section here, Motorworks have a smart looking R1150RT (the one I...

I wish! A Superlight 29er and some Reba RL forks.... Should be a nice build though with my home laced wheels and xt kit. :)

I'm well out of shape (5 years of eating like a 200mile a week cyclist, but only riding motorbikes!), so I'm thinking of riding a double chainring set up for a while.

its just a parallelogram and controlled by a pull ratio from the shifter... (says he being all smug) triple or double, road bike or MTB? Shimano, Campag (doubtful) or SRAM? I've watched peolpe almost break down in tears trying to trim the front mech! funnily enough I just ripped the front mech of b...
