Re: R12S parts wanted

I searched for ages for mirror stalks but gave up in the end, so good luck! Oddly, mine was a Colgate & the lower corner was missing.... Now on my 3rd R12S !

Re: R12S THROTTLE ECCENTRIC REMOVAL

After looking at the pictures Gus posted in the original 'roller removal' post I decided it had to be tried. It's a pretty easy job in the end. Whilst this does reduce the soft throttle effect it's still there to a degree & I'm concerned that the pins will wear the fiber cam in time. It definite...

Re: R12S THROTTLE ECCENTRIC REMOVAL

This is the modification Hugo ( congoman ) had done to his old bike that I now own. I’ve never ridden a 1200s other than this one but throttle pick up is just like any other bike I’ve owned. http://www.boxertrix.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=14669&hilit=Congoman I'm aware of that 'removed ...

Re: R1200S values?

As I was looking to buy another R12S, this was an interesting thread. What I discovered was, currently, £5500 would buy you a slightly cosmetically tired bike or high miler. £6500 would buy you a nice one / low miler with some nice bits fitted. Not a lot of difference in price for what you get! Ther...

Re: R12S THROTTLE ECCENTRIC REMOVAL

Isnt't there the option of fitting HP2S Throttle bodies and associated gubbins? maybe available from the race fraternity? According to RealOEM, the complete throttle body assemblies are the same part number R12S / HP2S. The throttle assy on the bars has a different part number though but don't know...

Re: R12S THROTTLE ECCENTRIC REMOVAL

I got used to it in about 50 miles and then it didn't bother me at all, even though it was odd to start with. Just one of the characteristics to get used to and then remember, when you swap bikes on a regular basis, Just call it "character" :D . Unfortunately both my much modified R100 &a...
