Mint R1200S

Well…… This is something of a record even for me (I change my bikes a lot!) Thinking about selling the 2006 R1200S I bought from Ian (scottie58 on here) having owned it just over a week and done about 700 miles on it! Bottom line is that it doesn’t “fit” me very well and I am getting all sorts of ac...

Re: R1200S for sale now with pictures

Have you still got this topcat? I have tried to PM you but is seems to be stuck in my outbox!

If you could PM me a number I will give you a buzz if it is still available?

Cheers

If I run te rear at 42 do I leave the front at 32?

I have jacked the rear up previously & it didnt make a lot of difference.

I haven't set the sag, does it make a huge difference?[/img]

Does the steering feel vague to you?

Hi all Had my 1100ss for about a year (bought from a lovely chap from this parish) and love it to bits, goes great, one of the quickest bikes A-B that I have had and can hold fantastic cornering speed but......... The steering has always felt a but vague? It has never let go or even come close and I...

Setup for y-piece, Lennies intake & K&N?

Hope this hasn't been asked before, tried a search & couldn't see an answer so...... My 1100s has a Lennies carbon intake & K&N filter and I want to add the Y piece I have just got and wondered if there is any setup I need to do. The lennies & K&N were on when I got it and I dont...

I had exactly the same on mine, turned out to be where the loom had rubbed against the battery tray and the oil pressure sender wire had shorted.

Such a simple thing, such a massive pain in the arse to get to!

Good luck

Best (reasonable cost!) aftermarket exhaust?

As title says, I am after an aftermarket exhaust for the S & am struggling a bit to find anything at all! I have seen the Laser systems & they look great but are a bit pricey! (£1K for the boxercup 2 into 2 system, £800 ish for the de-cat & slipon can option) I am also struggling to find...

not sure about the fuel issue but I seriously doubt you have cooked the engine by idling for 15 mins, I used to get the headers glowing when balancing the throttles on my GS & no harm ever done. I also know Steptoe once used this method to heat the rear hub to get the final drive bearing out whe...

does the 1100s Sport use a standard centre stand?

As title says, I am looking for a centre stand for my 1100s Sport & am offering a detachable one as a swap in the for sale section (shameless plug! 8))

Just had a horrible thought that as it is the sport model a standard centre stand wont fit. Can anyone confirm or deny?

Cheers

Does anyone know the length needed for "racing" fr

Hi Hope someone can help me out! I am away from my bike at the moment and have just found out Hel won't send out a set of brake lines without the originals as they have so much trouble with the various setups BMW use! I can get my wife to send off the ones I have taken off so they can put the correc...
