Re: Hi from Yorkshire
, If I connect a 12volt supply to the fuel pump it starts first touch, so I checked the supply to the connector and I get 12v very briefly on turning on the ignition (12volts almost instantaneously but falling as quickly to zero) but not for the 2 seconds I'm lead to believe it should, on cranking ...

Steve , are you going soft in your old age ? It doesn't seem that long ago that you were trundling around on an old Funduro in the snow !.

Re: Item you didn’t buy ...
Not so much something that isn't available but upgraded shocks . I put up with the originals for 90odd k miles and then transformed the ride quality just when I stopped using the bike on a regular basis. Lightweight wheels would have been nice too. I'd also love a decent seat for my S although I gue...

Re: Couple of old photies
I think it took me a decade before I realised my 11S was missing that long section of mudguard at the rear... My first BMW was a '95Funduro purchased in '98, an underrated and extremely capable bike even over long distances (imho) but at the time shifted it on after a year ,a lot of mileage, and man...

Re: An overnighter to Ullapool
Nice trip , I was in Ullapool once a long time ago on my 11S in the early days of ownership , just checked, it was Sept '05  Midges weren't a problem then although I guess they don't fly in wet windy weather.. Only problem for me at the time was tank range, everyone else was on Rt's or Gs's

Re: Servo ABS brakes - deal breaker?
Hi YL, If you think about it, every car has a servo and how often do they break? True but (1) afaik they're not electrically operated , (most were vacuum operated in the past and afaik some are now mechanical / hydraulic driven off the powersteering pump and (2) They were a solution to a problem th...

Re: Boxertrix shirts and mugs available!
Excellent news, whats the quality of the Tee and print like ? I went for the long sleeve dark coloured tee. The T shirt is ok , the Boxertrix logo is good and the Boxercup model logo is good , the other bikes possibly because I chose the darker Tee aren't quite as well defined. Not a complaint just...

Re: Engine 'noisy'
Cheers Chris. I always wear ear plugs on my bikes, for the wind noise, but pottering about lately into town, shopping etc I've not bothered and this helped me notice the rattle. Hopefully all ok, i'm sure it will be. : The advice generally on Boxer forums over the decades is, if you can't hear the ...
