I smell bullshit. Commonly found on forums where an OP is desperate to be proven to be the big man battling the nasty corporation. You have obviously never met Rob  Steve Might be fun when he does meet him. Do you really think I'd want to meet most posters on here in real life?!

If someone brought that back to me, I'd be very tempted to remove them from my premises and advise them not to return.

That tyre is nigh-on worn out - there's absolutely no way the retailer or manufacturer could ever be held responsible for that!

Reported to eBay.

Have you done the same?

Sounds like you want an R1150gs.

Remember that, although the 11S is an 1100, the engine and gearbox are 1150 spec.

You'll hate the Hondas. I know you say you don't need the performance of the 11S - but the Hondas are really gutless. When was looking for a comfy bus this year, I looked at the R1150RT, K1200GT, FJR1300 and Honda ST1300 Pan Euro. I bought the Pan, and am now happily scraping pegs everywhere :) Thor...

As it happens, the tail end of the last one... once you get into the middle bits, nobody seems to care much. There's always some half-cut yokel in a knackered old Astra Saloon meandering along in a particularly random manner. I know Father Ted was supposed to be a comedy, but I do wonder sometimes i...

I've been to the depths of Ireland and seen the shonky old heaps of crap people pour themselves into when they leave the pub...

I don't think it's an great example of the way forward.

To be fair, most Micras had engines running cam chains and were bullet-proof.

So it's not unusual for someone to neglect the belt change on a Renault diesel engined version.

Terrible idea.

Especially given that most cars are now on 2 year service cycles, too.

Most people don't even replace almost completely bald tyres without being told to do it, so the chances of them noticing anything else wrong between tests is non-existent.

67mpg?! Jesus. I never get over 40mpg from the Boxer, and the Pan is high 30s right now. That's not caning it everywhere, but it's not riding like a nun, either. Even so... if we take bike emissions and apply current car rates, then we'll at least double what we currently pay. And I really wouldn't ...

There's an officially published BMW figure - the rest I found here: http://www.righttoride.co.uk/virtuallibrary/environmental/emmissionsbasedscheme070909.pdf Needless to say... CO2 emissions are nigh-on directly proportional to fuel economy - although, without the emission control gubbins, bikes are...

Are you all bloody stupid? Did any of you bother to check the facts before signing? Just some examples... A VFR800 puts out around 160g/km of CO2. An FJR1300 about the same. A BMW S1000RR has the lowest emissions of any superbike at 132g/km. This means an S1000RR would come in at £125/year - with mo...
