Manchester-bound? So - you down to only the R1200RS, now? Anything else being considered? Al :) Sticking with the RS. Just back from second trip to Germany. And spun it round Knockhill on Saturday morning. Maybe a wee project bike one day. http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u234/boxerboy55/BMW%20RS...

OK folks. This bike has been paid for and will very soon zoom off to a new home. Thanks for the interest.

Thruxton R

I concur - with the OP.

Similarly, I had the chance of a couple of hours (95 miles) on one last week.
A bundle of fun. Was only on A roads where it really shone. No wheelies. No ABS. No drama. A lovely ride on the Ohlins magic carpet suspension.

But can't replace an RS12 as my only bike.

I've had my RS12 for 13 months and 6,300 miles. Loving every minute. It does all I need to do. From track sessions to a Germany trip last year. All day comfortable with cruise control, hot grips and quick shift. I'm considering a suspension upgrade (non-ESA). I gave my BCR toy a spin 2 days ago and ...

Must be one of the best BCRs available. I’ve scratched an itch, know that I’m not really going to use it and I need space in the garage. There is a folder full of documentation, including both the original sales invoice and the second sales invoice. Full MOT and service history. Registered 24 Sep 20...

BCR - 2004 - minter

This is a quick taster for one of the nicest Boxer Cup Replicas in the country. 2004 (54). Under 11,000 miles. Purrs like a kitten on de- cat headers and Laser cans. Non-ABS. More pictures available, but I have to go away on 14th for a week. The CUP plate will be removed unless someone wants it as a...

I agree with much of the above posts. On a wee run yesterday I found myself mixed into group of 8 bikes at a junction and it took several miles before I could let them all get past me in traffic. A real mixed bunch, who I bumped into much later at a nice pit stop; bikes ranged from nearly new to pre...

If selling prices are around £6k for a Mamola version - and the new price was £9k? (the RWB was £9,200 from memory) - I'm trying to think of any other bike which isn't a true classic construction (Duc 916, SP-1/SP-2 etc) - which has retained that much value after 13-14 yrs? Even if you take the ave...

First ride on a BCR yesterday

I'll come clean. Many moons ago I ran a basic grey R1100s for a while. Have been lurking around here for a while. Been through a few bikes since then and have a basic black Beemer in the shed, but only recently acquired a nice BCR and had it trucked home. Sun was still shining yesterday evening afte...

Is a BCR officially designated an R1100SS as shown in above reply?
I'm interested as I just acquired one.
