Re: Strange handling

Thanks HE - I’ve not had the final drive/paralever off but sounds like it’s worth checking

Strange handling

Hello, I have a lovely 1100s the previous owner kept it absolutely spotless - however it seems to be developing a bit of a weird problem. At speeds of over 70 it seems reluctant to turn right? Left turns are fine but sweeping right handlers it just feels horrible. Could it be the tyres being squared...

Update

So I took the bike to Dick Lovetts in Brizzle - Mike the service guy is very helpful - they plugged it in and cleared all the fault codes - found a wheel sensor slightly out of whack and banged it straight. Job done. They also cured an oil leak and gave me some free crush washers. Not expensive at a...

ABS Lights

Hi there - just for info, I had the flashing lights on my R1100s and was told it was either voltage or low fluid. I took a deep breath and took it to Dick Lovetts in Brizzle - turned out to be a slightly out of alignment wheel sensor, which they banged straight, cleared out the fault codes - job don...

I think I may wimp out and take it to Dick Lovett to diagnose.... I don't like messing with brakes too much!

ABS

Hi - ok thanks, I tried that - the lights went out for about 10 secs and I thought 'Yeaaaah!' - then they came back on again :-(

So - does that mean it's the ABS resevoir that needs bleeding and not a voltage issue?

Thanks for all your help

Hi Nigel,

thanks - I'll check it at the weekend. As I mentioned the brakes and servo seem to be working fine but I really want to kill those flashing lights -

thanks
Jim

There I was feeling guilty about having two bikes :-)

Front engine cover

Hi - I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but it is sort of technical-ish.. Thr previous owner of my 1100s has stuck what looks like a large 'pad' on the front engine cover which looks grim - I'm guessing this was intended to be some sort of protective idea but I've not seen it on an...
