Re: Private plate problem?

Yep - can be done online very simply by the seller. They retain the plate and pay the £80, which generates a new VRN and issues a new V5. The new V5 then arrives in the post and they can then do the keeper transfer part of it to you as normal. If they transfer it to you before they retain the plate,...

Re: Another 'old' boy returns

Thanks all for the welcome back - lots of familiar names still on here, which is good to see. Is Steve Parry still around? Cool choice. What Colour? Chris It's the white with black graphics version Chris. I love the lime green on matt black look also and nearly pulled the trigger on one in Scotland,...

Free Auxiliary Power Socket Kit / Charging Point

Could anybody use an auxiliary power socket for a R1100S? Not in the best condition as the insulation is crumbling off, but the wires and socket are still good, so is perfectly useable. Had it in an old box of bits and dug it out to use on my newly acquired R1150R, but it already has one so this is ...

Another 'old' boy returns

Hi everyone - I've returned to the fold after a break from biking. Sold my 1100S and my 65LS a couple of years back out of necessity, but managed to procure a nice 80th anniversary 1150 Rockster over the winter. Not sure it strictly falls under the 'BMW's sportiest Boxer motorcycle' description on t...

Re: R18 landed

I like it. Not normally a fan of this style of bike but I think BMW have made a decent effort here. Whilst UK sales might not be substantial, it's a massive market in the states and other areas, so if they can get a piece if that pie, why not? Would like to see a version with flat bars, rear sets an...

Re: Has the time come??

Peter, that sounds like a bargain for someone - and I might be interested depending on how things work out over the next few days. I'll drop you a PM so you can send me some pictures, if that's OK? Does anyone have experience on how the riding position of the 1200S compares with the R1100S? As I'm g...

R65LS 1982 - 16000 Miles

Hi everyone, I haven't really been on here much since I sold my R1100S a while back. However, it looks like it's time to sell my '82 LS and I thought some of the old faithful on here might be interested. She kinda fits the "BMW's sportiest Boxer" headline - if you ignore the performance......
