Re: Steve Parry

Jeezo! It’s like an old-folks’ home in here -discussing your own ailments!

Blimey, what a load of old crocks  :)

Ignore them Steve, look after yourself. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Thanks for posting this Al, someone who died too soon. Private helicopters are dangerous things.

Re: Sad News

Peter We're both so sad to hear about Alan. We have many fond memories of him at Boxertrix meetings, in Northumbria and for me, in Italy as well. He was such lovely person, Sue always made a beeline for him at the meetings to hear him talk on his passions; opera and Yorkshire! Our thoughts are with ...

Re: Orangish, brown & grey thingy

Congratulations, you're obviously a man of taste :D . They're great bikes, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

As for you Paul, I'm trying to remember all the scornful remarks you made about my GS's :) :)

Re: Applecross Inn

It's very well deserved, stayed there a couple of times. It has a great atmosphere and amazing sea food, but don't venture outside in midge season - you will be eaten alive. Talking to a local who helped out there he claimed her record is over 1,000 covers in a day!! My daughter is already on to me ...

Re: R1100S worn 'wheel' bearings

Thanks guys, that all makes sense.
I'll have a go at adjusting the paralever bearing free play and see if that solves it. If not can look at bearing replacement and ultimately the bearings in the bevel box, but that will probably NOT be a job for this Fly Fifer at least.

Thanks Paul, good report, excellent photos. Looks like a lot of fun, and what's not to like about a couple of nights in Milan. :)

Re: R1100S worn 'wheel' bearings

Thanks Rob, it's a good video - he's got a great style. So you think it's the paralever bearings themselves rather than anything in the rear drive unit itself?

R1100S worn 'wheel' bearings

At the last MOT my 2004 R1100S (38,000 miles) got an advisory for 'slight free play' in the rear wheel bearing. If I rock the rear wheel top to bottom or fore and aft there is about 1-2 mm of free play at the rim. Does anyone in the Boxertrix world know which part of the 1100s's wonderful final syst...

Re: East ride of Yorkshire 13th-15th September

We would certainly be up for a Boxertrix Yorkshire weekend - may have to visit Sue's cousins who live nearby before or after the weekend but that's a price I'm prepared to pay :D .
