Re: R1200S hugger

I've not been on here for ages... just popped in to see what's happening! I've got a mint condition Ilmberger. Bought it brand new. Covered fewer than 200 miles. Boxed up in the garage for the last year or so. If you search under my user name an old advert should pop up. Can do more pictures if need...

Re: R1200S: Akrapovic exhaust, Ilmberger guards and hugger, MRA screen, etc

Nice to meet Swanny yesterday! Just the screen and the hugger left now. I also found a pair of Rizoma "Action" indicators that I had left over from a project. Test fitted only- as new, in the box, complete with resistors and full instructions. They look great on the back of a 1200S. £65 in...

Thanks for the interest in these items.
The seat and head protectors are on their way to their new owners; the other items are still available.

Cheers

R1200S: Akrapovic exhaust, Ilmberger guards and hugger, MRA screen, etc

Owing to an injury sustained in an accident earlier this year, I have been selling a few of my bikes and spare parts. I bought my 1200S from this forum; it came with quite a lot of extra parts, and I bought lots of other bling items as they appeared over the last couple of years. I sold the bike a f...

Re: Brand new Danmoto Y Piece for sale

Although on a 1200S, I did a trackday at Cadwell earlier this year... it was ace!! I think there are a couple of pictures in the "Pictures" section. I've been to Cadwell a few times before (ages ago), so had a reasonable idea of where the track was going. I have a narrow back wheel (for th...

Re: Touratech filing for insolvency!

It doesn't seem to be a supply v demand issue as such; It seems they borrowed heavily to invest in the new plant, but this took longer than planned to get up and running. Now the lenders want their return.
Sounds like poor project management to me.

Re: Touratech filing for insolvency!

It does seem that the costs, both financial and temporal, have combined to create this situation. I really hope that they can resolve it; they make, and supply, some excellent products (amongst the tat that some bikes end up festooned in!). I wondered if they were having problems... I had placed a f...

Re: getting the itch for another sports bike

I completely get the "not an inline 4 thing". The bike I regret selling most was my RC8. A 2010 model (on a 12 plate). Superb on the road, and a trackday beast. Comfortable too. Switch off the O2 sensors and they are as smooth as a big V-twin is ever going to be. You could get a late model...

Re: Wanted first r1200s

The two on eBay seem a little rough around the edges & the milege is a little high. That mileage is nothing! There aren't that many of these bikes about, and they are all 10 years or more old.... so most will have a few rough bits. Why not buy a rough looking one and see if you like it? Sell on...

Re: 1200s running like a bag of hammers

I don't know if this helps... but.. I have done TBS on loads of R1200 bikes, however; my 1200S will NOT run properly if I park the steppers with the 911. It will just about tick-over, but as soon as I touch the throttle the revs race ever higher. If I disconnect the steppers the revs immediately rac...
