I agree, in the real world you need to keep your licence and an R1100S is good at what I want it to do. Sold the very tricked up GSXR1000 (Dymag wheels, carbon disc carriers, wavy discs, Brembo callipers, Ohlins front and rear & steering damper, carbon mudguards and seat undertray, Powercommande...

Nice to know mine is about right.
Light came on at 156miles after mixed cruising and a few red line blasts and I did 6 miles to the garage to fill up. Put in 14.24 litres on the sidestand, but didn't waste time getting it full to the brim.

Thanks Steve - I read it all and started to do the mods to my phone. It all fell apart when it says press the "signal boost" icon - there isn't one in the menu. I have found this but am not sure about the legalities http://www.pcpro.co.uk/realworld/357955/the-legal-ways-to-boost-your-mobil...

Mobile phone reception

Anyone know of a sure fire way of improving mobile reception?
Signal comes and goes even upstairs.
Using a Samsung Galaxy II on T Mobile for the last year. Signal was just as bad before on Orange.
I see Vodaphone do signal boosters but EE / T Mobile dont.
Any suggestions please?

Ok The hangover was still affecting typing at 3 o'clock - idler wheel / rubber drive wheel or whatever you want to call it.
It is still a great bit of kit.

Picked up my Garrard 401 in the early 80's for £50 and spent another £50 on a service, belt and set up with the SME 3009/S2 arm. Put it up against mates' LP12's, an Oracle and a Pink Triangle all through the same amp and speakers and couldn't tell much difference. Been happy with it ever since thoug...

In readyness for a change to higher bars I got 2 Goodridge brakelines made up locally. Friction Hydraulics in Oakengates Telford, £40 for 2 lines, 2 banjo bolts for the calipers, double banjo bolt for the master cylinder plus copper washers. They made them up while I waited having measured the stand...

Any particular aversion to a"guest" being invited who does not own a BM boxer?
I can ask a friend along, but she has a Suzuki SV 1000.

Book a room?
I only live 25 minutes away!
Will see if the finances can stand it nearer to the time, but will definitely sign up for the dinner and rides as long as you all promise not to ride like the BMW club members!

Yeh I did a similar thing coming back from the 'ring a few years ago but with a better outcome. I had stopped at Clacket Lane services on the M25 for fuel and put my wallet with passport, logbook driving licence etc on top of a closed pannier and walked to the shop. Forgot about it, came out and rod...

Try this - think fixed wing aircraft; the 3 axes of movement are pitch, roll and yaw (elevators, ailerons and rudder). Blipping the BM throttle while stationary gives the torque reaction of rolling the bike to the right (ailerons) The steering wander to the right that Er-Minio had is like yaw (rudde...
