Pete which bike do you want it for?
I have a none working one removed from a K1200RS which is a 2003 model and I am told the ABS unit is the same on a number of bikes of that era, so it may do you, I don't know.

Re: Wanted - R11s seat
Hi Loz I have a spare seat which I very much doubt I will get around to modifying. I bought it to do the same as you. Motorworks sell them S/H for £115, but I'm ok with less than that. PM me and we'll discuss pick up/post etc. Might take me a day or two to find it in my various storage units though ...

Re: Lightweight battery for R1200S.
Dobbo you need to be extremely careful about the charger as Lithium chemistry in your lightweight battery is totally different to the old Lead /acid batteries. You've seen the You Tube videos of electric cars on fire like flame throwers and the fire service cannot put them out. If you haven't go and...

Re: Welsh Weekend 2024
Sorry to hear that Peter. Good luck with it, I went through it all over the last couple of years and the NHS sorted it out. Although it was really frustrating the number of times you answer the same questions about your medical history from different people before you get to the surgeon doing the jo...

Re: Almost a new member again.
Very nice - would almost be worth getting a one-off system made to your own specs for it instead of trying to find an Akra. Cost about the same.

Re: Yet another BMW
You can indeed Chris. Well, been out a few times solo and also with Mr Parry and local mates as well as the Trixter Welsh Weekend back in May. My thoughts so far are that it has a useful amount more grunt (130hp) than my all original R1100S (96hp - no induct tubes or chips, Std exhausts etc). But co...

Actually Paul I can't change it back. Clicked all the bits you suggested, but there is no option under profile when I get there to change it.
Curios-er and curios-er eh?
Your thoughts please.

Re: Flag
I know I can change it back, but why did it alter in the first place? I'm an engineer so I need answers for this enquiring mind (got to fend of the alzheimers somehow).

Just wondering why the flag next to my name has been changed from the St Georges flag to the Union flag? I certainly didn't do it! Admins?

Re: U.K. Clean Air Zone
Ultimately its easier to send Mr S Khan an email congratulating him on killing off any possibility of me driving to a city and spending cash in businesses to keep them in business and or the local economy working. I will just ride my bike anywhere but in a city now.

Yes Dave - I hadn't forgotten the starter. Just that medical issues prevented me all last year and I'm just emerging now. I'll maybe sort a ride out with Mr Parry up your way fairly soon and we can grab a lunch somewhere in the middle and have a bit of a catch up as well. Sounds like a plan anyway.

Re: Starter repair
Well done Pete - a man after my own heart. A cheapskate with a good engineering knowledge and machine tools in the garage!
Reminds me of the F800 I fixed a few years ago and the sat nav mount I did last night on my K12RS out of the scrap box.
