Just checking over my lovely, newly purchased R1200S. Looks like the previous owner has fitted an oversized rear tyre. The rear wheel is marked 17xMT550 & the rear tyre is a 190/50 17. Would this be a 6" tyre fitted to a standard 5.5" wheel? If so, just wondered if it's going to be a ...

Chris, way over the top pricewise - sounds very dodgy. I'm going to immaculatise mine - you know, bit of Hammerite on the front engine case and yokes and some rim tape. Just bought a spare set of wheels for the R1200S and the rear wheel which is the 17"x6" sports wheel had the incorrect tyre fitted . It had a Michelin Pilot Road 2 180/55 ZR17 instead of the correct 190/50 ZR17 . Tyre is in very good condition with around 5mm of tread . I've just paid £100...

Could a time delay fuse do the same ?
