Re: Steve Parry

I hope Steve gets well soon. Gentlemen, I’d just like to offer the following in good faith and with the best of intentions. To anyone who is fighting off an annoying lingering cough or suspect they may have the start of a chest infection , please, please stay off your bike in this winter weather unt...

Re: Insurance

Thanks Steve, I've just got an online quote, they won't cover the HP4 but for everything else it's a little over £400 which is good. I've managed to find another policy elsewhere for the HP4 with zero no claims discount as I'll use that on the multi bike at around £200. So combined it's over £300 ch...

Re: Insurance

Can anyone recommend a good provider of multi bike policies ? BMW used to insure the most expensive bike and then charge £10 per £10000 value on any additional BMW bikes which worked well for me. They don't do that anymore and are asking for just short of a grand for my stable of 4 BMWs  :sho...

The 9T just felt a much purer riding experience, it's seating position and cornering just felt much more pleasant to me, but that, as ever is very personal. The R is a very nice bike, and the latest version is without doubt the best, but the 9T just felt so wonderful to ride, at any speed. The 9T fel...

I rode the new R12R and the 9T back to back, much preferred the 9T. In the interests of transparancy I too have had a short can't be arsed shaving type beard since my teens, one thats shown a quick buzz with an electric clipper every 5 days along with the rest of my head, although the top doesn't re...

I do like the nineT overall but don't like the stupid hipster seat. It just panders to the whole 'modern' custom scene as laid out by a bunch of media/advertising types who having had nothing to do with bikes until they're 30something and suddenly have a desire to take perfectly good classic jap an...

I've been looking fondly at the griso for a while, I've sat at one at the NEC and was very impressed by the feel and build quality,if it rides like it looks it'll be a great machine. If you want to stay BMW though have a go on a 9T. I made the mistake of having a ride on one this afternoon, now I'm ...

If a cargo plane can carry the weight of 1000 pigeons, can it carry 2000 pigeons provided you keep 1000 of them flying around the cabin?

I normally use BMW's pro winter or Pro summer as appropriate to the season, however just picked up a nice pair of gloves from Aldi for £19.99. Not used them in the wet yet but they seem as well made and as comfortable as any glove I've seen.

I'm in a bit of a quandry, currently have 4 bikes,as listed below in the garage.I'm buying a bigger garage (oh, with a house attached for the wife) not to put more bikes in but to have room to sit, polish and just stare at my bikes during the winter months. However in order to make the mortgage appl...

Britain is the world centre of motorsports (I read somewhere very recently). We have a proud tradition of gentlemen riding motorcycles and cars along country roads and through mountains in their leisure time. It's what we are and what we do, it's a fundemental part of our male Britishness. It's wort...

It looks like a nice bike. I was trying to think why it looked strangely familiar for a new bike then I realised it's roughly speaking a boxer powered K16GT.

Sure enough the 12S has a better ride and performance but the BCR and 11S just have a certain elegance and style in their build that the 12 just can't touch,in my opinion.
Yes, have both :)
