Re: Jacks Hill Cafe, Towcester, Sunday June 9

How did it go fellas? I forgot  Chris Well I had to eat your sausage bap, because it was going cold  We had a small, but perfectly formed turnout. Jacks was, as ever, crawling with Harleys, but a fine breakfast was enjoyed by myself, Steve W, Reg, winger/Chris and his wife June. See you...

Jacks Hill Cafe, Towcester, Sunday June 9

Folks, Can I tempt any of you out for a breakfast run to Jacks Hill cafe, near Towcester on Sunday June 9? The plan would be to get there for a late breakfast around 11:00am. It's a good central location so hopefully easy-is for folks from the Midlands to the soft south and all points in between to ...

Re: Is this normal ?

Yes, you are correct Mike. Try taking off the front fairing panels and checking the wires which are cable tied to the front sub frame. Signs of blue/green corrosion on the black insulation tape are a tell tail that you have a potential worn through wire running from the coffin shaped fuse boxes. if ...

Re: Is this normal ?

Re: R1200RS: Any things to look for, common faults etc.

Just a quick note on the quick shifter: going from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd is, more often than not, quite lumpy with the quick shifter, but going up the rest of the gears and coming down the box is usually quick and smoother than you would do with the clutch, 9 times out of 10. Remember the thrott...

Re: R1200RS: Any things to look for, common faults etc.

Hi Jez, I owned an R1200RS for over 3 years and thoroughly enjoyed it. My recommendation would be to go for the SE spec, which in fairness, most of them seem to be. That gives you the quick shifter for up and down shifts as well as all three riding modes (road, rain & dynamic), and the fancy ele...
