Re: Yesterday

Hi Gang Many thanks for your support. I now need a new helmet. Seventeen operations have altered the shape of my head and my Shoei and HJC are now so uncomfortable. Going to Boston in the next few day to buy another one. Sportsbikes Direct I fancy a Nolan with a removable chin bar and a drop down su...

Having said all that, I do hear that people can buy "designer mud" to chuck over bikes to give the impression that you have been to Outer Mongolia before lunch aka Waitrose Car Park

Did a B roads trip to the borders a month or so ago and came across the Buccleuch Arms Hotel in Moffat. A very welcoming and Biker friendly place. The owner and his son (and missus) are bikers. He is happy to spend time offering advice on good biking roads ( that's most of them!) in the region and ...

Grumpy Old Man Club

Hi Tim
I do not appear to have received your membership application for the GOMC.
I assume it is still in the post.
Any chance of you appearing at Minehead later in the year? We could perhaps do a duologe

Hi Lois

mane event bags are fine. Cheaper than the real thing but if I remember you need to print off the order form from the site and post it. They were delivered in about 5 days AND they fitted.

Location

Hi Paul
Even though I now live in Hull I know your area reasonably well being born in Mexborough. Do they still hold Pogmoor Feast? Squiress at Sherburn is not too far from Barnsley. Is it one of your venues?

Welcome to the site as someone who has had a R1150rs and a R1100rs both of which spent a lot of time on the continent I always said that they were under rated machines. Having said that my current steed R1200R is a revelation. A good real world all round machine. Handling ride and comfort a big impr...

Hi Vanessa
Glad you and Crispin enjoyed the welsh bash. Now its France (Chateau Flash) Have you persuaded your gang that you need to get away at the end of May? The last time I looked at Flash Tours site there were 2/3 vacancies. Look forward to meeting you two again.

Hi Guys At last something to say. Got delivery after a lot of messing about. I received four insurance certificates. I had to cancel my RS because the BMW insurance scheme did not recognise and would not insure a R1200R and neither would Norwich Union. The bike had to be insured as a 1200S. (Same as...

Well its not very often that I bother to post but I went to test drive the 1200r today and sucumbed to the charms of the latest addition to the BMW stable. Unfortunately I have to wait until November for the wedding. It seems likely to be a long engagement

Stands

Hi All
I must have learnt something. The side stand needs a bit welding on it as does the centre stand or it just hangs in the breeze
