Re: Why K and N?

Turps makes a better cleaner than a particulate trap.

Dorsetboy came on holiday last year with a bottle of chainsaw oil for his Tiger 800............. "Far cheaper than Scottoil!"

After a week: "F**Ks me! That stuff goes everywhere!"

Re: ruSTy

Re-read your post - you are talking about ‘corrosion’ of the alloy? That being the case - give it a light rub down, clean with acetone - and either use ACF-50 or a hard cavity-wax. If you have any corrosion of the rear sub-frame, it wouldn’t be too hard to hang up the loom and remove the frame for r...

Re: Rear rack enquiry.

As above - the givi ain’t exactly ‘pleasing to the eye’ - but works. Ventura rack and support arms also fit- along with the BMW pannier rails and panniers. ( I google-imaged to make sure) Not aware of any other system, on what was a fairly low-production 20-yr old model now. I fitted a Givi E36 to m...

Re: Steve Hislop - The lost letter

Thanks for posting this Al, someone who died too soon. Private helicopters are dangerous things. Ian Yeah - but compared to the TT - probably a lot safer. Watched some on-bike footage from TT (the 750 class) and the footage from Hislop’s bike was streets ahead of the other top riders - for smoothne...

Re: My boxer cup rep

Very nice........... There are a few BCRs out there with ‘most’ of the additions you have - save for gas-flowed heads and the PFM brakes. I guess you are in USA? How many miles are on it, and what condition is it in? How about some high-res pics of the bike as it is now - it would be good to see Al :D

Re: R1100S for sale

I think you'd be hard pressed to find someone paying premium for the BCR paint-job , perhaps 500-1000 above normal price. I struggled selling mine (normal) and that had much less mileage, ohlins shocks, remus full system, basically all extras, and that was advertised for 3350,- Considering the BCR ...
