As llyod has said, i've put 30k on my wavey braking disc's, got them from tallon engineering, quick delivery and cheap... they work much better than the OE's, they are apparently a high carbon steel. So using EBC HH pads with them seems to give a massive squeal with a pleasant thrumming noise.. the ...

Crucial, how much was your gear box??

Jason, i am in northampton, so not near.. Why not support it initially on the C/Stand then hoist it up and support when you get to the gear box removal stage?? How long did it take you?? And what wa the reason for removal?

Gear Box

Anyone tried removing the gear box, how hard is it to get at??
My gear bearings are shagged so want to remove the gearbox and then let BMW change them..

Ta for the advice, i think that i will use pauls advice, local BMW place said a tenner.. So that route will be the best me thinks. Less aggro for a start.

How easy is it to remove and replace the front wheel bearings, bearing in mind that i have no dirft or bearing pullers just sockets and wrenches...

I am getting an odd tyre profile on my front tyre, its a mac90. The most wear is experienced on the nearside, where the wear is to about 2 mm, however the offside wear is over 4 mm. What do you think is causing this. If it were the camber of the road i would expect the offside to wear faster. This w...

Disc rotor bolts

Got some replacement disc rotor bolts from BMW, they come complet with loctite on the thread(red stuff). Do you need to warm the stuff prior to putting 'in', or just bang them in with the stuff cold and dry???
