Try this as an off the wall suggestion. Had a bit of a violent off, which caused the handlebars to fly everywhere snapping the lugs off the front frame. After picking it up and welding foot pegs, i tried the bike before the front frame dismantle. It too ran very odd indeed, the left cylinder was run...

Braking discs are very good, but i think you can only get them from wunderlich so failing that go OEM as they are cheaper. You could try http://www.allbikeengineering.co.uk/index.html They do older beemers, but may well match or manu them. But dont let them touch your bike, the mech has two left fee...

Try checking the battery output with a volt meter, battery tenders are not always what they seem. Also make sure that the poles are uber clean when fitting the battery, use wire wool to clean them and ensure a good connection. As I have found in the past check all the cheap bits first then worry. Oo...

Don't see the point of the engine bars, the end covers do a good job and the S recovers well. Chucked mine down the road a few times, just change the rocker cover put on new cover protectors and off you go.. Just that this time I snapped the foot rest bracket off and the stop lugs off the front fram...

Thats fair enough, so it sounds like the same fuel econ improvement of swappingh your plugs every weekend and cleaning up the old ones in the cycle. Have been doing this with a big box of cheap NGK's, if you keep on dropping in clean ones every week the surging is not noticeable or stops.. Also keep...

Had this happen on a K not long ago, test the starter motor by putting bike into gear and rolling forward and let out clutch, then try and start it.. On the K it was dust build up in the starter motor chamber, the rocking in gear polished up the contacts before start. To solve it take off the starter...

I bought some from Sainsburys at 74p for 50ml which isn't cheap + a cheap syringe. I just want to give it a try. The site reckons anything that can deal with petrol will deal with acetone and it's only 1/15th of 1 percent anyway. .78ml per litre. I reckon about 15ml a tank. It's in there now so the...
