Hi Kees, Some very nice work there. Very "Moi" I presume you designed all the parts as well. I myself have done some modifications to my Beemer, I must say I think mine are a little more technical and radical, but you can see the originality of the bike still shining through... http://far...

Nearlly but not quite, had bike running, all gears engage and disengage :D Spent most of the afternoon hammering/grinding out the bolts from all the Y pipe and header pipes. Awaiting the arrival of friend with portable blow torch so that I can get some heat on the sheared...

Nice job.
I see that you got rid of the airbox and fitted cone filters, did you fit a new chip and set it up on a dyno?

Well done for not hitting the deck. Maybe the best thing to do is get a bike that is tricked up like a police bike. That might make motorists wake up a bit more. It won't make a blind bit of difference, excuse the pun,. Mate of mine is a bike cop, he was doing escort duty for the Queen mum at Chelt...

Like the idea, but IMO I don't think it will come to much, will add my sig anyway. I would have thought that going for a reduction in road tax for bikes would have been a better option. Our lass only pays £35 per annum for a 1.5 turbo diesel clio, in comparison with my £64 for the R1100S and another...

Hi Mountain, So sorry to hear your 1100s is broken :( My 2001 1100s' gearbox 'expired' after only 36K. The bike did have a full BMW service history and after some communication with BMW UK my bike was fitted with a new gearbox at no cost to me. Perhaps a letter to BMW Customer Services might save y...
