Re: Barbacks: Rapid Dog's vs Moto-CNC's

Thanks very much for the input, guys. I was kinda hoping the seat wouldn’t need to be modified. At 70 years of age, I definitely need more distance between my backside and my feet when I’m pootling around (I know most folk will be thinking what a waste of a good sportsbike, but I love the bike and w...

Re: Barbacks: Rapid Dog's vs Moto-CNC's

Have purchased the barbacks that were on BMW R1100s Lovers Facebook group. Many thanks for the link, John. Looking forward to getting them fitted.

Now I want to lower the drivers footrests so I’ll start searching for advice on here

Barbacks: Rapid Dog's vs Moto-CNC's

Hi all, I want to raise my handlebars of my 1998 reg R1100s above the top yoke and move them nearer to my armpits! I've seen the RD Barbacks on this forum and then found out about the Moto-CNC ones made in Co. Durham. Moto-CNC say their's are unsuitable for clip-on handlebars that were originally lo...

Classic Motorcycle Mechanics R1100S Article

I've just read part 2 of Project BMW R1100S by Ralph Ferrand in December's issue (p58-61). While I hope never to have to dismantle/rebuild much of my '98 1100S, the article made more sense than the Haynes manual. Anyone else seen the articles, have the .pdf downloads - and are they usefull?

Thanks for the heads up, Paul. I'll look out for the Reivers Weekend. Maryport to Jedburgh would be a nice ride out.

Hiya from West Cumbria

Hello, I'm a newbie as far as BMWs are concerned - have admired them for the last 40 years or so. Saw my R1100s on Gumtree, fell in love with the photos......got the bike. Black, 1998, 59k on the clock and looks as if it has been cherished. Can't afford the insurance but come March will be able to a...
