Re: noisy exhaust?

Just seen that on b/fast news, slightly biased against bikes!!!! Boy racers mentioned in the studio but not a single loud car shown in the report.

Re: R1100s for sale 16k miles

Wunderlich do a kit for around €110. Has two positions, max drop is about 30mm if I remember correctly, comes with a brake pipi extension so you need to bleed rear brake after fitting.

I still do old school as well John, that’s how my route to Montgomery will be done, with the aid of google maps on Sue’s phone for back up.

As well as the guy in Newton, one of the young lads at work used a guy in Tiverton and Will give me the contact details if you want them.

Re: R1100S seat

Where are you? There is a guy in Newton Abbot, didn’t have my seat modified but he did an excellent job recovering it and I know he has done on offs for some of the local custom/chopper lads. PM me and I will find his number if you are not too far away. I will ask around to see if there is anyone el...

Re: BMW R1100S Carbon Engine Spoiler/Belly Pan

Type bellypan fixings part 1 into the top search box and skiddyboxers has a thread about the making of the brackets and part 2 of job. I can’t open the photos but that may be because I am using an iPad.

Re: Risers?

You can also put the bars above the top yoke, this will give you about 35mm, did this to mine, did improve the riding position and cheaper. Only issue you may have is the brake lines maybe too short, but if you fit risers you will have to get new ones anyway, also fitted a peg lowering kit, about £9...

Have a look on ukgser site, they have a travel section and some have done what you are considering. You may have to subscribe to get full access, (£12) but might be worth it.

Re: Steve Hislop - The lost letter

A rare talent and a nice guy as well, have helped him out of a few gravel traps/barrier fencing etc, never stroppy like some and always had a chat if we met in the paddock later. As mentioned in the article don’t think he had as much support as he deserved/needed on the short circuits.

Re: R1100S Sport Tryes

Unless it has changed recently Chris Walker uses maxis tyres at his race school, although he was on his own bike the fast bikes journo was suitably impressed with what he saw, think the article was 2015/16. I have a pair on my super moto and they outperform me if that helps :D
