Re: Awaiting a new R1250R Sports

Hi Guys, The struggled to get BMW to release the bike, took the shine off it a bit and I had to resort to some strong words fired at BMW Customer Services to get the bike released :x First report, stunning. The gearbox is a lot smoother and a lot quieter, no more thud into first and struggle between...

Re: Rapid Dog Barbacks R1100

Hi, No they are still for sale. I tried a BCR fitted with them and it was a lot better for my poor old back. Thats why I got them in the first place. I then decided to sell the BCR  and so I did not fit them in the end. I guess there are guys on here who can advise you on the longer term benef...

Re: Awaiting a new R1250R Sports

Hi Paul,

Its the same as mine with the dynamic package, you can tell by the gold forks and chrome exhaust.

Its got the pannier fittings, which looks like the only difference.

Certainly looks the dogs, just wandering why my dealer says he does not have his in stock!!!

Thanks for the heads up.

Re: Awaiting a new R1250R Sports

Hi Chris, Not got the sports handle bars as being a bit of a large lad I don't want to be more uncomfortable than necessary :D I test rode the R1200R for a whole day and found it to be first class, I then stupidly bought the GS :drunken: Its a good bike but a bit on the heavy sight if you have short...

Re: My boxer cup rep

What a beauty, so hard to find a good one these days, especially the red/white/blue version, but that looks stunning.

Rapid Dog Barbacks R1100

Hi Guys, Just spent the day in my garage sorting some space (on the prowl for a BCR), and found a set of brand new Barbacks by Rapid Dog. They are brand new never been used. I bought them to put on a BCR then changed my mind as I wanted to keep it 100% original. I think £80 plus £11 for postage (ins...

On Lookout for a BoxerCup Red/White/Blue

Hi Guys,

Having had a few BoxerCups and got rid of them I have reached an age where I am feeling nostalgic for another.

If anyone sees one for sale, could they please PM me.

Not too bothered about the state as long as it is not a dog, as I can do a lot of any restoration work myself.

Cheers

Re: Heading for trouble?

Hi, I did it on my old BoxerCup, in place of heating them up I used penetration fluid and covered my liberally everyday for a week. They came off without too much trouble.

Don't forget you'll need new header seals, putting the old ones back on caused me no end of problems

Awaiting a new R1250R Sports

Cannot get my new bike until 6th April after the official launch :( The most modern incarnation of the boxer engine ever. Wonder if it is as soulful as my old BoxerCup, loved that bike.

Hi from Cumbria

Hi Guys,

Love my Boxercups. Used to service and repair my own some years ago. Nostalgia and a yearning for another Boxercup have dragged me back.

I'll be keeping my eye out for the right bike :D

Re: Risers?

Having fitted these in the past, the throttle cable can be a bit tight so I would keep an eye on that.
