Some great deals about on the Suzuki DL1000 Vstrom, it's light, comfortable, has ABS and Traction Control and loads of torque.

R1200S or R1200ST wanted in Scotland

Sold my last R1200S to a friend and missing it so if you're selling one in Scotland please let me know.
Can't be bothered traveling past Carlisle and couldn't buy a bike without seeing it.
R1200ST is also an option.
Cheers,

Yes thanks, easy, stuck a screwdriver in, wiggled it about and the seat slid off.
Many thanks for your help and fast reply.
Thought it was going to be a big problem too.

R1200S seat problem

The rear seat strap has broken on our R1200S and therefore can't remove it so wondering if anyone has any ideas?
A photo of under the rear seat would be handy if someone could oblige.
Thanks.

Thanks BMbler

That's all new information, DVLA are changing quite a few things and I've just found this 'Mutual Recognition', all very confusing.
Last time I imported a bike from Ireland DVLA we're very helpful so will give them a call.

Certificate of Conformity

Hiya, Am thinking of buying a R1200S from a pal in Ireland and reading the 'How to register an imported vehicle' stuff from DVLA, it looks like I need to get a Certificate of Conformity. If I google that, it looks like there was a BMW part number but it's now not available. Any ideas where I'd get o...

Trouble changing email

Hi there,
Tried to update my email and received the message
'This email is banned'
Tried to email forum and it bounced back.
Ehhhh?
Any ideas?
I'm looking for a R1200S and of course this would be a good place to start.
Best,

R1200S

Thanks Phil for your comments. I'm 6'3", 16 stone and odd as it seams, when I sat on the R1200S it felt like it could be comfortable though I'll need to take it for a decent test ride. I'm currently riding a Yamaha FJR1300 but still use and Airhawk seat most days to stave off the sore bum over ...

Anyone do big miles on a R1200S ?

Am missing my R1100s a bit, loved the build quality, looks, ride but never really used it much as most runs are 200-400 miles in a day and the old body suffered a bit (as agains the GS)....................now however, I've sat on a R1200S and it does feel comfortable, looks great and has Ohlis suspe...

R1200ST

Bought a 2005 R1200ST last February and it took 1000 miles to get the suspension and bars in the right setting. Being 110Kg (the R1100s makes my bum look big) the pre-load is now set one slot from high and the bars set in the middle position which gives enough comfort for 300 mile days and the best ...
