Remus Exhaust

Dear All, I have purchased a second hand Remus Race exhaust from one of you chappies and am about to fit it. Its the 2 into 2 with no collector box. Can anyone tell me if I can simply bolt it on to my standard 1100S or do I need to alter the fuelling, Im not bothered about performance but I dont wan...

When you dump the ABS, what do you need to do to the electrics? disconnect the control unit, anything else? what happens with the ABS light?

Never had a problem with my ABS but being a luddite I am attracted to the idea of hand = front, foot =rear.

UK here I come!

After three and a half years working and living in Munich I will this afternoon catch a flight back to the UK and tomorrow rejoin BAES in the North West.

Not sure whether to laugh or cry

The up side is I may finally turn up to one of the boxer meets!

I leave Germany this week, but in order to get a VCA certificate ready for UK registration did all the UK changes in Feb and ran for 2 months in the Fatherland with a UK headlight set up . Fortunately due to the pathetic nature of the standard headlight, nobody seemed to notice. Didnt think i...

I switched from a ZRX1200 and have been riding the R1100S since March, a bit of a shock to the system after the Kwak but there is definitelely a R1100s "groove" you need to get into when riding it. It took me a while to find it but once I did it all dropped into place and the grin just got...

slightly off topic

Does it help that my luggage is black? :D A few years ago there was a design article in "Bike" which included some artists impressions of R1100Ss in different schemes. There was one with it painted in a Luftwaffe Me262 colour scheme complete with squadron markings 8) which I am sorely temp...

I would have thought it was obvious. Since I cant afford a 1200, the 1100 is clearly the superior machine!

P + O ferries plus 1100S

Ive never taken a bike on a ferry before but I am bringing the 1100 back to the UK next weekend via Rotterdam-Hull. A few questions therefore. 1) Do they strap the bike down or do I? 2) Should I take my own straps? 3) Where/ how do you strap an 1100 down (best anchor points?)? 4) Do I need to take a...

Anyone got an opinion on exhausts?

Mrs Park (god bless her) has given her permission for me to spend some of her housekeeping on an exhaust for the 1100s. Having no delusions about my ability to outride the R1100, I am more interested in looks and sound than performance. I am tending towards a road legal Remus system from Motorworks ...

BMW fit organic pads made from ginger biscuits as standard. Is that why when I ride in the rain, my beautiful white wheels are covered in a black gunge which is presumably a mix of ginger biscuit and water. It takes some bloody cleaning I can tell you. What is the recommended altenative - I want th...
