Re: First Ride R1200S

That is not a first ride Dave. no matter how you garnish it.

Right having got that technicality corrected,... I hope you enjoyed it immensely.

First Ride R9t Racer

So, a 300mile plus ride last Friday down to Stamford Bridge and back. The weather looked favourable but it turned out to be bloody cold on a mixture of fast sweepy a roads, Mway and Urban riding. Heated grips did not seem as warm as my R1200r ones.gearbox is silky smooth, sounds great, suspension an...

Re: woo hoo!

Thanks for the birthday greetings gentlemen, we had a fantastic day out and shared a fun experience with thousands of others,

Brits can enjoy themselves in Beer.

10 out of 10 to Brewdog for putting on a slick event. Had to moderate oneself as we were driving back the next day.

Sunday won`t be too clever though, i`ll be feeling my age then :D

Plan was to go on the bike. That would not have worked.

Re: Pit Lane Penalty

Rules are rules and they must be observed OR changed. From a sponsors point of view it`s enough to want you to take your money elsewhere. It needs changing. Interesting point about Rossi getting penalised in a race.. they bottled that when he booted Mark the Merciless off  mainstream sports ar...

Most of the European events {not all} produce more excitement. Assen is one of those that does deliver. Enjoy.

Pit Lane Penalty

Did you, lose all interest in Sundays Motogp race after Cal Crutchlow`s ride through penalty for a jump start? I did. I did not feel the penalty fitted the crime. Stupid ruling. You do not win a race in the first lap, he gained no advantage whatsoever over anyone. I do not know why he even bothered ...

Re: clay bar

I think I would have been tempted to try on the petrol tank of your R1200R before committing to doing the whole van. How many steps are there in the clay bar process and is the result significantly better than just waxing the vehicle? Cheers, Paul Clay Bar is an intermediate process. wash vehicle a...

I spent most of the day testing out what i always suspected was an ott exercise. I am still of the opinion it is but it does work and gets your vehicle paint finish silky smooth and clean. Sad thing is i was only cleaning up my works van and not a prestige car. Kits are available from £13.00 up to £...

Thanks Pete for that really helpful reply. Still got my arm in a sling but less pain & more movement every day. Will go for those Ferodo brakes, standard discs and the run in procedure you mentioned. Been having discussions with biker mates about ABS & whether it would have prevented the ac...

Re: Fuel Grade

i definitely stick with the higher octane stuff on mine - they are pretty high compression and although they will run on 95 by using the knock sensor i wouldn't cut corners myself. I would agree about supermarket fuel. Many years ago i worked in the motor trade and we had quite a lot of issues with...

Unfortunately, that event in Cardiff didn't work out?? :D
True, my fears came to fruition with Twickenham though!

A deserved championship for Wales and good luck in September. :D :D
