Re: R1200/1250RS

Thanks everyone for these replies. A lot of detail and effort. Disagree that 18l isn’t small for a bike designed for and capable of touring Europe. Also, because you want a break doesn’t mean you want to ‘enjoy’ it filling up with fuel yet again... To throw a cat amongst the pigeons, does anyone ha...

Re: R1200/1250RS

Can not speak for the 1250 shift cam or RS. Can offer an opinion on the diversities between the 11s and the 12r LC. They do not compare. Loaded with rider aids that are a new skill set to adapt to and loaded with much more mumbo the 12 r lc is capable two up with luggage as it is solo in roadster fo...

Re: Unbalanced & drippy

Yes. Frayed throttle cables. I had that issue on my 1100gs. Lhs cable attachment to wheel at blind side of throttle body. I also had a running problem with my bcr, small piece of Redgate aggregate lodged behind body wheel.

You Tube and the Transformation of an R9t

I`ve given up with sky and Bt sport, all the exposure of betting culture pisses me right off they ain`t getting anymore of my moolah. So You tube is the way to go for me Bro`s Take a look at this it is remarkable. These bikes (and the strong belgian beers) lend themselves for wild creativity and pra...

Re: R1100S Engine won't spin over

I reckon that is a possibility. Check terminal connections on starter motor. If the starter is temperamental it will do the same again.

starter motors can be repaired.

Re: all hail the new boxercup

The r9t racer is deceiving,it has a really narrow waistline and minimal back end, it has low posture and a beautifully sculpted tank for the upper legs and knees, the handle positions are not exactly narrow because the tank puffs out a bit to give body to the muscular engine stance, the tank support...

Re: Greetings from Croatia...

Hi Aalen, Welcome. Are you a uk resident? The flag you have chosen shows you as identifying with the UK. I would be interested to know of touring the Balkans. The wife and i have often talked about this but for safe bet options we always revert to Iberia, although we did enter Croatia on our bike 15 ...

Re: That's how it's done

I'd have to agree, the whole point is that they want every bike to be the same, no room for individuals on a production line! You have to wonder when they say they use people for the jobs that the robots can't do. That's good I suppose, but as the robots get cheaper and more versatile it can't be a...

Re: PCP / aftermarket parts

Not really Chris, many customers add upgrades/bling to their bikes and either transfer it to the new bike (many GS owners for example have another GS as there's little competition). We often have to include transferring bits over as part of the deal. Other times people either leave the bits on or t...

Henry Ford would be impressed. The end product is remarkable. i would not like to work on that production line or any other either.

Re: PCP / aftermarket parts

With the increasing popularity of pcp bikes how much of an effect will this have on aftermarket parts sales? I sense from the mags I manage to get a look at that there seems to be an increase in advertising. I would have thought it a pointless exercise modding a bike that you may only be renting. c...
