Re: Well - that was a little unexpected...

Have not a clue what a meta alarm is, but if it is circa 2003 yes its ready for the bin with the battery and probably the wiring harness was butchered to fit it. Those were the days... spend 300 quid to have an alarm fitted (plus butchering of harness) to save 20 quid on insurance. BTW Always liked ...

Re: Welsh Weekend 2024

Hi Steve, Despite booking in good faith Amanda and I are not coming. Our retirement home build is taking priority, I have not insured my bikes this year, no plans for a Euro tour and i doubt i will get a single ride in until Amanda is safely ensconced in our new home in Denholm... as she claims she ...

Re: All Change.....

Good luck Steve, I know its a passion for you and not a career. Nett zero is putting us in recession. Forcing beginners and Coffin dodgers off the road. Manufacturers of all heat producing engines do not know which way to turn. Big cruiser market has taken a massive downturn. Do you actually "s...

Re: Hibernation

last ride Mid October. Two bikes surplus to requirement could not sell them at the price I thought they were worth ( and even discounted) Never went to bike show.... and why? When manufacturers release them on the net pre shows and bloggers galore give you all aspects of them close up. Even getting ...

It does, it is also morphing into an RS, getting smaller and less robust like all of us.

Re: The Bike market today.

Other factors may include the fall of CBT`s. No younger people coming through. E cycles and scoots ... no cbt, no road tax, no insurance.

The Bike market today.

Is it stalling? I think it is. I have two bikes surplus to requirement both odd balls , relatively scarce but collectable. Never thought i would have a problem moving them on and it is not, apart from todays values in doing so. Will not buy a more suitable bike to serve my current needs until I find...

Tyre pressure warnings on dash.

Peoples be aware, from my experiences, the valve stems on newer bmw wheels are not friendly with certain compressor air line unions, they will in fact deflate your tyre rather than inflate. The valve stem does not allow full encapsulation and seal of the standard air line union. I first noticed this...

Re: bye bye telelever

Has to be said, Telelever is something I too am loathe to lose. I've ridden a few "normal" bikes in the past few years and without exception I find them "boingy" compared to the Rockster. That said, the R1250RS with Active/Dynamic suspension adjustment is very nice... until you ...
