That sounds like a bargain for someone, it looked like a nice bike when I met you on it the other week.
Aside from the very different riding position how did you find the power difference on the XR to the 1200S. And how much did the dealer offer trade in?!

Picked up a box of yellow shininess from the Post Office this lunchtime. :D I have chatted with Kais Suspension in Atherton, Manchester who are going to do the service and will drop off later today or first thing tomorrow morning. Hoping that they can get it done sharpish so I can ...

Re: A Wee Grampian Adventure Fri 17th July - Sun 19th July 2020
Good to meet you guys and thanks for a great ride yesterday. Set off in damp conditions from Broxburn in the morning and despite the glorious conditions to the North arrived back to damp and grey conditions (at least the days' flies were easier to remove from my visor). Not many opportunities for ph...

Ta. I'll take a look but with me heading to a Buell do in the Lakes on the Sunday I suspect I will need to spend some time with SWMBO at the in-laws on the Saturday.

Re: A Wee Grampian Adventure Fri 17th July - Sun 19th July 2020
I am working a plan that may/should see me along for the ride on Friday.
Looks like there is no room at the inn on Friday night, so I'll be heading back to Broxburn at some point on Friday afternoon, perhaps picking up some pf the stuff you will be doing on the Saturday.

Re: Front Wheel Spindle
Dave has a good point. I have had two KTM 1290s that have suffered from pulsing discs, from very early in their use. The first just the discs were changed and pulsing again shortly afterwards. The second the front wheel was also changes as there were problems with the quality control on the disc mou...

Re: Calling Stoney
Room for one more? I have permission from SWMBO so assuming that the weather remains as forecast I am game
Riding up from Preston. I have some stuff to do later in the afternoon so might run away a little early depending on how things go.

Curious too! Shame balljoints appear to be specific to models as I have a couple of those too from an R1100S (around 30k miles each)
