tonight 5pm

So after weeks,in fact of months of getting on my bikes, tonight seemed right. full blue and white kushitani leathers, gsxr K5 anniversary 750 and a blast over the border on our mega a 68. life's great. It was not the ride solely, it was the anticipation, the perfect evening and perfect bike and eve...

Re: R1200S values?

All, Give it time.... It will only take Tom Cruise to use one in his next Mission Improbable for values to rocket. I bought a Laverda Jota new back in 1980 for the princely sum of around £1,500. Fast forward to 2012 when I sold it for £12,500 so if it's rare and quirky then who knows! I'll hang on ...

Re: Fuel

Off to Italy on the 11S just wondering about what fuel to use? Should I avoid using E10. The bike is a 2000 model with 7000 miles on the clock. All petrol has ethanol in it I do not think E0 exists at our filling stations, E10 is the higher percentile ethanol additive. E5 is more available in uk an...

Re: Fuel supply?

Take off the injectors and see if they are squirting when you turn it over? I seem to remember when I replaced my clutch on an 1100gs that engine had to be set so the rh cylinder was at tdc on its compression stroke and the fly wheel locked with special tool before any parts were removed replaced. I...

Todays F1 no spoiler

So on a dull dampish day in Jed I put my feet up to watch some motorcycle racing from the sunny climes of Northamptonshire, or so I anticipated, What a farce, supposedly a world class event held on a flat track recently re surfaced... that floods in certain areas. Listening to all the stuff that the...

Correct, they are as they perceive themselves to be. As we see them?

Re: R1200S values?

Good points, it is arguable, but try it first and then tell me what you think. I have ridden the 1200s it is an improvement on the 1100s. I am sure you will be surprised. It is a far better road bike than the 1200s. There is no way a 1200s can accelerate out of a corner quicker than a lc 1200r with...

Re: Want to share something

Very eloquently put Steve. The funeral is tomorrow. That will be a moving on point for the laddie and families. There is a possibility of a police prosecution, no alcohol involved I may add. Incident occurred at 3.40am on a roundabout. His mum is doing a vigil on him, she is signed off. His remorse ...

Want to share something

Lads, recently a young man known to us was involved in a tragic incident. His pillion partner and long time girlfriend died after being separated from the motorcycle he was riding. Her funeral is next week. We only saw them picnicking in the park a week earlier. The young man is the son of some bike...
