Re: R1200S values?

The r1200rlc is far a sportier bike... Honestly? IMO yes. More poke, better brakes, better suspension, cornering abs, quick shifter, smoother. I bet it is even lighter? only area a 1200s beats it is the top end where a rider can get out of wind blast. Oh I forgot to add it carries luggage well , pi...

Re: Vintage bikes.

Loving the BSA and beautiful brickwork, by any chance is that Pickering North Yorks? just a guess with the ww2 window masking.

The Bonnie looks better without the top box Nigel.

Re: Vintage bikes.

Chris, Next time you are heading south on your bike to visit the continent, make some time to visit the Sammy Miller motorcycle museum in the New Forest. That should give you plenty of food for thought. All of those bikes are beautifully restored and the vast majority, if not all, are runners. chee...

Re: Vintage bikes.

Oily side indeed John! TBQH I was thinking of cheating and getting a modern retro lookie alikeey. There are some Harleys in the range that are resonating with me too. Afraid the cost of modern tech laden new bikes is putting me off also 50mph speed zones, safety cameras fixed or mobile, traffic cont...

Vintage bikes.

Have spent a really nice weekend down in South Yorkshire, had a couple of reet good neets with friends in Sheff. We had a day out in Castleton, did a bit of subterranean stuff, water was at a staggering 2 deg c however the sun shone up above and watching the world go by I noted the amount of vintage...

Re: R1200S values?

Well if you want something that stands out from the crowd - with only 387 ever registered - 180 on the road and 88 sorn as we speak - there is a price to pay. Lock at how much people will pay for old escort rs2000's, xr3's etc. Maybe people are starting to forget/not aware about the bad reception t...

Re: New Harleys

It looks no better or worse than all the other stereotype off road bikes that do not go off road. I hate them all and all the stupid metal box panniers and all the pilots who waft the bloody things all over the place, They take up more road width coming round a bend than a national express coach. I ...

Re: BCR starting problem

I would be doing as others suggest. Electrical connections starting from battery. You could try slave battery, croc clips on positive post at starter motor and ground at frame. Give the starter a good direct feed.

Re: Who changes their own tyres?

Wow !!!! I'm shocked at the comments about no wheel weights !!!! Man oh man , In my opinion , any bike is unstable at speed if the tyres are not balanced . However , what do I know . A bike is more unstable in a state of rest. The tolerances of in balance and out of balance must be wide to effect i...

Re: Great news people :D

Since BMW Approved started having a 2 year warranty and Euro cover there did not seem much advantage being the first owner when you could pick up a low miles used version for less money. Great news my arse. Much as I love you Steve you sell bmw bikes, T and c`s will apply. Logical thinking but it d...

It’s a DJI Mavic Air, filming in 4K, which I then export after editing the footage in 1080p. That gives me some room to crop footage without losing resolution in the 1080p export.
