Steve, File downloading isn't supported by the ISP hosting the site. You can either use one of the standard libaries of avatars on here, or link to a file on the web. If you can upload the file you want to use to some web space, you can then link to it. Glad you like the site  . Cheers, Paul

ah sod it

Walked out in the rain to buy them, and discovered that they are Motorcraft AGPR22P, with FR6DP written on in biro underneath... A bargain however at £3.50 a pop, so rushed back to the office an according to a chart I found on the web they are equivalent to a Bosch FR6DP1. Anyone want to try and tal...

Spark plugs

Gents,

Trying to get hold of some "Bosch FR6DP" platinum spark plugs and my local motor factor has "Motorcraft FR6DP" platinum plugs. Is it safe to assume that these motorcraft plugs are identical to the Bosch plugs, since they have the same product code :?:

Cheers,

Paul

Anybody know what the MOT position is when you remove the cat.? Bern Bern, No problem at all removing the cat. The only thing they check at the MOT is that the end cans have a CE mark on them. Mine passed the MOT last year with Laser mid pipe and cans. Knowing winks from the guys in the garage abou...

Gents,

Thanks for your help. I think I'll whizz past Halfords and get some Castrol MTX then, rather than chance my luck to mail order delivery.

Now, spark plugs...

Cheers,

Service time again... Gearbox oil suggestions?

Gents, Time for me to show a cursory interest in motorcycle maintenance again and give the bike a service. One job which is overdue is changing the oil in the gearbox and the rear wheel drive. I have been searching for Mobil 1 gearbox oil, but it appears to be made from highly refined rocking horse ...

Skint, I use the Wunderlich smooth silver central cap which covers the bolts and is held on by two very strong magnets over the wheel bolts. I've had mine for almost 3 years without problems, however there have been some posts on Pelican from people saying that they have lost the newer ones (that lo...

Che,

Either Zach or Laser (or standard) mid sections will work with the Laser cans. There's no particular advantage to using the Laser mid section over the Zach (other than it's cheaper...)

Just been looking at the Laser site and on the tech sheet for the 1100S centre pipe it looks like the centre stand (if you've got one) has to come off :? There are two mounting brackets which look as if they pick up on the centre stand locating holes. Dave. 8) Dave, You're right, the centre stand d...

Group buy?

Richard,

If you're going for a group buy then I'd play. I'm a low maintenance kind of a guy, so one less thing for me not to worry about not worrying about would be good.

Cheers,

Paul

Skint, The back of the mounting block is round with two parallel flat sides taken off. This should mate into the the bracket on the bike. Try pushing the mounting from the back as you tighten the bolt at the front and hopefully it should push back into the seat, to allow you to tighten the bolt. I'v...

What do you call cheap? I seriously though about this but received several quotes IRO £700 for a single colour respray, which rather dampened my enthusiasm. Steve Bonas had his done for about £200 in a place up near Stowmarket, however he's now talking about having it done again after about a year (...

Gents, I had the diablo's fitted on a hot day towards the end of last summer (about August time?). I must have done in the region of 4.5k miles on them since then and they are still comfortably the right side of legal, tho' the rear has squared off with winter use and the front has a distinctly tria...
