Good to know! Just had a quick look online, they don't list the neotech, but they have a schuberth that is on my shortlist if it fits.

I'll make a point of dropping by.

Re: Motorcycle Live

I am going on Friday. Always a good day out for me, a chance to catch up with friends.

I even have permission this year to spend some of my own money. Looking for a new crash helmet, so hopefully can find a good deal on a neotec.

Ventura rack- R1200s

I have the following Ventura bits for sale to fit R1200s. L-arms Rack Grab handle Top box arms (you will need to buy the universal adaptor and top box, I bought the Givi parts rather than the Ventura parts) The rack and top box arms can be positioned over the pillion seat, or further back behind the...

Re: BMW Build Quality, has it improved?

While I would expect better, these corrosion issues are certainly not unique to BMW. Motorcycles are inherently prone to these issues, given the need to balance weight and aesthetics with function and the exposed nature of some of the components. I know of people with Hondas, Yamahas and KTMs all su...

Check this old thread.

You should be able to bleed normally, but read the whole thread.

Re: Oil changes

When it comes to oil changes, I do something quite radical. I read the manual and use the spec / grade (though not necessarily the brand) recommended by the manufacturer after thousands of hours of testing and development. Do this and you won't go far wrong. Alternately you could ask the opinion of...

Re: Oil changes

thanks for the insight Herb, never though of that - oh, hang on..... I was more asking for experienced feedback from the group as to brand preferences and why. I personally used to use Castrol in my boxer as that was the brand BMW used to recommend. Used to wait for a good offer on OPIE (not ...

Re: Touratech filing for insolvency!

Herb I get superb customer service from the J&S branch in Northwich. They even give me a discount without asking after I bought a full set of gear from them in one go. Was really odd having a discussion about gentle wash programmes and soap powder for the Rukka suit with a big tattooed bloke! T...

Re: Touratech filing for insolvency!

I thought J and S had the worst customer service ever, but then I tried to buy a bike from a KTM main dealer and was proven wrong!

Re: Touratech filing for insolvency!

I think the Hein Gericke and Touratech situations are the mirror image of each other. HG UK went into administration and ultimately disappeared, but Germany continued to trade, hence you can still buy HG stuff from certain outlets. In the case of Touratech, it's the German parent who has gone into a...

Re: getting the itch for another sports bike

You can get a 675 for very little money. my mate just sold his 06 bike that he had from new for less than £4K and it was in showroom condition. i think that would be my choice.

Re: Bye all

I have had as many run in's with Fontana as anyone, but personally have no real problem. You don't have to agree with him, like him or respond to him if you don't want to. You could even block him if you prefer as I know some have done. Fontana! Flouncing out is not the right thing to do. Just don't...
