I had ordered the hugger and a few other bits for my bike when I was over in Germany on holiday last Sept. I was heading for the Rhine area and justy happened to stop by the Wunderlich premises (as you do) where they had catalogues listing all kinds of automotive porn. Just could not stop myself fro...

R1200S, Ilmberger / Wunderlich Hugger

Anyone fitted one of these to an R1200S. The instruction leaflet / photos are worse than useless; tiny black and white photos & written in German.
Guess the latter part is my own fault for ordering direct from the factory.

Anything you may may be taken down and used in evidence .......

Bloke in MCN posted a video on You Tube and received a visit from the police. He is currently helping them with their enquiries !

These items are a 10 minute fit. If you are a regular cusotmer I would have thought John Clarks would have fitted these for you as a matter of goodwill especially as bike workshops are not exactly busy at this time of year. I am sure the team at Motorrad Edinburgh or Glasgow would welcome a visit; g...

The only thing that surprises me about the whole speed camera, congestion charge, petrol tax rises, Treasury revenue generation farce is that there has not been more direct action. Brits seem to moan or be apathetic and accept whatever imposition the govenment decide. A bit of French militancy would...

I tend to chuck most the Tesco paperwork in the recycle bin and simply spend their points in store on my next shop. Is there a published list of companies who accept Clubcard points ?

There is currently a Ventura set for the R1100S for sale on E-bay. I think it still has few days until bids close.

Anti Road Charge Petition - Make your views known !

I saw this on the BMW Club forum and thought I would pass it on as this proposal could affect all motorists. It only take a minute to complete. >117,000 signatures to date. Petition closing date 20 Feb 2007. If you care about our freedoms and stopping the constant bashing of the motorist, please sig...

Touratech supply a simple (GB2) adaptor bracket for 21 euros which bolted onto the top of the yokes on my R1100S. I was then able to fix a GPS onto this, and also still able to use a tankbag. Not sure if the GB2 bracket would work on the 1200S however the concept is simple enough and a bit af fabric...

The local radio station recently highlighted that the average policeman (or should that be police-person in these politicially correct days!) only make an average of nine arrests per year. I know there is lot of paperwork, time spent in court, etc but only 9 ! Guess this proves the police are not ye...

I am also vertically challenged and (6 years ago) initially thought the R1100S with the sports suspension a bit high. I persevered on standard settings, got used to it and have now covered >60k miles. I tried the Sargent seat in 2005 and found I could not get on with it. The dished seat is fine if y...

The Wunderlich oil cooler intake grille is mounted in a carbon effect surround and simply pushes into place. I secured each side with a drop of clear bathroom silicone that I had in the garage.

I have fitted the Touratech alloy cylinder head protectors more commonly used on the GS to my 1200ST. They should probably fit the S as well as the engine block is common to all three types of bike. I think Touratech do both plain alloy & black versions of the guards. I have used the plastic BMW...

BCR = R1100SS in a fancy suit. A tricked up SS (chip and Vandelinde exhaust) will make nearly 110HP. Add in some Hypro shocks and you have a damn fine bike.
