Bike swallowed the miles up no problem but the main issue for me was the seat. I hadn’t planned on doing that many miles but it was a lovely day and I didn’t have to get home at any given time so kept rolling. I did take a wrong turn at one point which probably added A few miles but I won’t forget ...

Yes, it’s a lovely spot but Anstruther was packed even on a Tuesday afternoon.

First 300 were ok but the padding in the seat turned to stone for the ride home :shock:

Looks like a fine day out you had there. I haven't been for a few years now but have always had a great time whenever I visited. It was a fantastic weekend no doubt helped by the weather. Star of the show for me was the 28 litre 1910 Fiat ‘ Beast of Turin” that was an incredible sight spitting flam...

The seat covers do come up from time to time. There was one on eBay last year for £99 buy it now and one sold yesterday on German eBay for £122 so not stupid money.

Think I’ve answered my own questions by using the search facility !
I have an Abba skylift but they advise against using it on the R1200s. When I rang them to ask why the guy said it was because the swinging arm is on the wrong side apparently.
