Re: Sight glass???

With the bike on the center stand
the oil gets visible through the sight glass
only after putting in almost 3.5 liter of oil
3.7 is the max.
Including the oil to fill up the new filter before installing it.

Re: Motorworworks slave cylinder

Thought I'd reply to show how mine went. When I looked at your post the one they sent me was a different colour to yours. Maybe it's from a different supply, the packaging had no reference to a manufacturer. Not sure if that info would be available from Motorworks Thank you for your reply. :D You k...

Re: Motorworworks slave cylinder

I had a slave cylinder go on my bike a little while ago, got a replacement from Motorworks. Although it was a tricky job making sure that everything was clean which was the biggest part of the job for me the replacement cylinder slipped straight into the housing without having to move anything I ev...

Re: Motorworworks slave cylinder

Well my English ain't that good. You mean that I could sand it down . To many grains situation near the piston and the flange . But I guess it was too shiny and new to mess with it that way and also I'm not in to this kind of thing so.. I choose to go by the book . Finally getting the frame off wasn...

Re: Motorworworks slave cylinder

The slave cylinder from Motorworks is thicker than the one from Magura which is the original one . By being thicker makes it impossible to maneuver behind the c frame . The original one it could easily been maneuvered and pushed in place in an angle this one has to be absolutely in line with the hou...

Thank you all for your propositions.

You mean something like this?

And what about the heat ? We aren't applying it on the cylinder head but it's still getting hot back there.

How bad is it?

As I was trying to change the slave cylinder I decided that it's good to also change the seal at the gear box at the opposite side of the slave cylinder. I followed the instructions as seen here http://forums.pelicanparts.com/bmw-r1100s-r1200s-tech-forum/433422-can-we-compile-definitive-clutch-slave...
