Back in the Fold on a Boxer :-)
Well after my questions about 1200RS, some wandering about BMW / Independent dealers and a couple of test rides I decided, for now, that the 1200R was not for me now (suspension was no better than my KTM and there is still a rawness in the 1290GT that I love too much). I will almost certainly get on...

Re: R1200RS: Any things to look for, common faults etc.
Been a while as I never took the test ride.......there was a s/w update that I hoped would help my current bike's suspension become acceptable. But though better it is still crude and unable to keep the rear wheel in contact with the road properly under acceleration over poor surfaces. So I have put...

Re: R1200RS: Any things to look for, common faults etc.
Thanks.
I have found one locally which is not the SE spec but appears to have most of the SE toys added (less the DRL and the quickshifter).
I'll be taking if for a test ride on Saturday, then maybe one with the QS as a back to back check.

R1200RS: Any things to look for, common faults etc.
Hi. Not been on here for a while, but figured you good folk may have some pearls of wisdom/knowledge about the R1200RS and anything specific to look for in 2nd hand bikes or problems with them in general. Looking for something for some touring and possibly as a general purpose, a year bike. Thanks Jez

FOR SALE: KLIM Element Short Gloves - Size XL £95 posted
The gloves are too large for me. Worn to work and back (23 miles) only. Gutted because with the short cuff they would be perfect with my Klim Gortex Jacket as they were very easy to tuck in.
