From his other auctions it looks like he's a breaker. Can't see any other parts for the S listed though.

Add your own shocks and avoid the premium for the BCR

No need on that grey / yellow one, Ohlins front and rear saving you a lot of £££!

That's actually a really good deal. Even though it's not obvious it looks like there's a front Ohlins on that too. They make a huge difference to the handling. The scratched cylinder head is a quick and relatively cheap part to replace. No corrosion at all is very unusual for a 13 year old BMW!

That's not too bad a price for a Boxer Cup but they usually aren't quite as high mileage as that and it's not exactly mint. Given it's Motorworks it should run beautifully. I actually think the grey / yellow ones are rarer than the Boxer Cups, especially the Mamolas. The best way to spot a genuine B...

You need proper kind of tape which amalgamates to itself to re-cover the different sizes of wire bundles. Try here; http://www.vehicle-wiring-products.eu/section.php/192/1/tape That's what I used on my GS, the only issue I've found is that it can dry out and become brittle very quickly, especially ...

Sorry to hear that, I used to live on Holloway Road so must have seen you at some point. I still work in east London so will be on the look out. Keep an eye on eBay for any recognisable parts being listed, especially exhaust and fairings.

Yep that's the procedure, no different because of the telelever when it comes to measuring sag.

Thanks for the advice :) I ordered one of those and it's waiting to be painted, in fact ordered the sticker kit today and just need to make the bracket and source the rear fittings. Mine was £35 I think. I love the look of the BCR but couldn't find one when I was looking ~ will probably enjoy ownin...

I won't be looking to copy the BCR exactly for that and other reasons (I don't personally like the coloured wheels so mine will be remaining silver) hence the title "Not quite a BCR" But apart from those two main items it'll be pretty much on the money hopefully :) Don't blame you, you'll...

If you're going for the RWB BCR look (which I assume you are if you got Boxerscot's panels) then make sure you get the right carbon head covers as you have a single spark bike and the RWB BCRs are twin spark.

I would say less than £1,500. Low miles don't mean anything if it hasn't been looked after. I'd rather have a 40k bike that looks like someone took care of it!

You could get a pretty decent looking one for less than £2k without that many more miles on it last time I was keeping an eye.
