Re: *** Wanted ***

Don’t use the BMW service stand whatever you do . Totally unstable and won’t solve your issue.
I don’t think a child could ever pull the bike over, although I can understand why it looks that way. Not much help am I?

Re: 100,000 miles

Almost run in then!
Is it on the original clutch? No contamination from the oil leaks?
A nice milestone to make, congratulations! I hope to do the same on mine. I will return to this thread in 2030!

Re: Mamola replica front brake lines.

Spot on there Jez, just had a look. I didn’t notice it before. At least I won’t have to bolt them up to the hilt if and when I ever get around to fitting them!

Re: Mamola replica front brake lines.

Steve, not sure if I can describe this okay. I have seen some bikes for sale with the bars above the yoke with a ‘bracket’ in place on each side. The bars are bolted into them from above using the bar holes and I guess the original thread underneath the yoke holds the brackets in place. They look bu...

Hope you can pick it up okay Chris. It looks cracking. How does the engine compare to the boxer?
We will need some pics too please!

HP2 Sport parts

In the Motorsport colours ... Bagster tank cover (no bag). I bought it as having never been used. From the lack of marks I believe this to be true. It’s like new old stock! £110 posted in the UK. Engine spoiler. This has been used and has some paint chips with some light wear. There is slight damage...

Boxer Cup boots

Must be 20 years old now? A few character marks acquired over the years. I didn’t wear them a great deal back in the day as they are quite a narrow fit and not so comfortable for my plates of meat. In the blue and white colours with white lining that has yellowed slightly over the years. Obviously p...

Re: Mamola replica front brake lines.

Mine have not been "pinned" for the 5 years or so they've been above the top yoke, they don't move. If I drop the bike the bar may rotate and save breaking a lever still allowing me to ride it home. Just do the clamp screws up tight. As you kindly advised me just over 2 years ago John whe...

Re: Be careful what you wish for

That’s good mileage there John. I’m not convinced newer cars could make that mileage. Because electronics. Years ago it was rust that killed cars, just before the engines wore out. Reading across a few car forums, support for the wiggly amps box of tricks as fitted on modern cars may not be around l...

Re: Sports or touring?

In that case get one bought ASAP. Enjoy it for the time being and sell it on once you have had your fill. If you buy right then you won’t lose much, if at all, when you sell it on.
Box ticked, itch scratched! I’m sure you will enjoy it.

Re: Sports or touring?

All good points above. I agree that a newer model would be better in many ways. I have my bars above the yoke and fitted a peg lowering kit. Taller screen too. Using the Ventura rack and soft throw over panniers I’m good to go touring/camping for weeks in comfort. As the years roll on I now notice t...

Re: Another prang....

My God, that sounds terrifying. What a total dick that driver is, not to come and make sure you are ok. Apart from shock he would’ve been unharmed sat in his cab. In the movies the rider would lay the bike on its side, slide under the trailer before coming upright again shouting ‘Yehaaa!’ Heal fast ...

What a handsome chap. I hope he will be a great companion for you Steve. I hope he mixes in nicely with your other cat.
Now then, we only have your word about that photo not being yours. Maybe you just wanted to have a Boxertrix DDP theme bedroom?

Very sad to read that Steve. Absolutely right what you said about the house/home.
Some little kitten will be lucky soon. Stick a pic up when that happens!
