Re MCN Test Of R11S Bolt On's Confirm Their Over Rating

Does anyone have this original MCN article... see http://forums.pelicanparts.com/bmw-r1100s-r1200s-tech-forum/163638-mcn-test-r11s-bolt-ons-confirm-their-over-rating.html for more info.

Warning, this forum posts includes a lot of opinions so intrigued to read original article.

I have GS paralever, but mulling over this option as well. . . is this overkill?

Re: Whassat?

Spot the difference between the schematic (mistake) & the picture; hint: o-ring. AND don't do what i did to correct it, lets just say it doesn't flex back to size so i discovered on weekend after accessing under tank (ecu) a 3rd time in as many months.

Re: John Gemi Tuning Chip - my experience

@Al - oh how I wish that was the case ( I will pull seat off but I am sure I recall it being stuff in amongst the joys of inlet etc so not quite that accessible). Isn't the booster plug just under the front of the seat? seem to recall mine was. I only used the booster plug on mine during the summer ...

Re: John Gemi Tuning Chip - my experience

@Boxered - that could very well be the problem, makes logical sense. Joy, get to practice accessing under the fuel tank again!

Re: Safety tip for bmw system cases

Timely topic, i noticed last week my panniers can be readily 'pulled' off without too much effort to the point its made me somewhat nervous how good the system is. I haven't noticed this before & i'm pretty sure i've played with these in the past & they have never come off as easily as they ...

Re: genuine BMW rubber grips

Having fitted a pair of non-genuine 18 months ago, i am surprised they are different? Maybe just a part number thing as opposed to physical difference? I would be asking someone like Motorworks & take it from there. . . When i refer to non-genuine, i refer to something similar to these https://g...
