Tail trim query for r11s fairing (rear)

Guys, Does anyone know if the trim on the rear tail fairing is removalable (i.e. The thin black deflector that sits underneath the main fairing of rear break light fairing). I've been told it's plastic 'welded' but without pulling mine off the bike, I can't confirm this. Pictures readly show clips t...

Steve apparently guarantees results. Last contact I had was that the ones for single spark are still in development due to timing challenges.

I'm intrigued...

Full brake pad set for R1100S (99) (new/used)

Guys, Have a spare set of brake pads for R1100S (99); front pads (full set x4 pads) are new; rear pads are used but have a LOT of life in them (small marking in used set but i don't believe this is an issue). Anyone want them for say £17.50 (postage included)? Can't comment on the Vesrah pads but wh...

Re: Which year of R1100S is the best & why?

@slparry (Steve), i've already bitten the R1100S bug... 99 (ex-boxertrix), i've cleaned it up a bit, still don't like the state of the engine paint but lets enjoy riding it before i tackle that... toying with idea also of a re-spray or updating paint work; toying with the idea of an engine re-build ...

Re: 03' R1100S green fuel light permanently on !

Assuming if its removing the unit from the tank, its not hard but its a pr1ck & its time-consuming... i would say 1/2 day by the time you have fussed about. . . I am sure Chris Harris has a proper video on youtube but for a 2min summary watch this (but turn sound down): https://www.youtube.com/w...

Which year of R1100S is the best & why?

Does anyone have any opinions which year (model) (exception i guess i is the BCR but even that changed over time) would one consider to be the best? I've never been able to come across a definitively listing of model changes over time, other than the obvious such as single migrating to twin spark, s...

normally 120 -130 miles from full

Yes, but mine when using it as a commuter in town (London) comes on @ 86! No surprises on a longer ride the other week it still hadn't come on @ 140! My point being i must fix the scooter as this is costing me a 200% more to run a week!

Re: Nice 11S for sale with extras

Not convinced..... eye candy (depends on your standards) aside it's been a project as opposed to original given panels for sale by same seller (but that's not to say it's not a decent bike). Mind you I am likely to take same path re rebuild etc....in fact I am watching the panels ;) just a little to...

You learn from your mistakes

Hmmm, knocked off the r1100s this morning....not that bad, it was the best you probably could get away with when it comes to a bike being hit by 4 wheels. Incident description: stalled at lights, then t-barred from behind after the guy misread the brake light on restart; happens quickly, wtf. He adm...

Yep, removal sucks.

As I recall I managed to disconnect while part way out.
